From afar, he seemed to improve you for a year or so and then run out of steam? Guess you’d say I’m wrong on that?
No, I wouldn’t say you’re wrong.

I’d say we were in a far worse starting position when he arrived.

You don’t need to pull the Dyche cord.

He’s a last resort kind of a manager. But it doesn’t surprise me at all that your owner has reflexively over-corrected.

This will be the best squad he’s ever worked with by far. I’m going to guess that he’s not going to adapt to it and continue to play his own brand of terrorist football regardless.

Hope he takes them down. That would be spectacular but I think that they will scrape survival.

Yeah he does over-correct. We had a season in the Championship where we dropped to 7th on the last day and missed the play offs by one goal. We signed 15 players that summer.

Madness from Forest (not suprised).
They’ve got a decent squad and in Europe, why would you employ Dyche??
Nice few mill payoff for him in a few months though, so fair play to him!

Its not really.

Him and their owner are very pally and he's out of a job. Will give them a boost and get them mid table.

Don't forget last season was a fluke and they massively punched above their weight.

They did punch above their weight, but are still levels above a Dyche appointment.
The owner was pally with Ange, look how that went.
If I was a Forest fan, I’d be proper pissed.

Yeah, it's nowhere near Dyche time.

Astonished how many of their fans seem to be okay with this.

Trying to apply whatever logic I can to Marinakis' decision making here, he's got to be thinking purely about stopping the rot. Dyche surely won't be their manager beyond May.

If he is, it's effectively a surrender of the progress they've made to a managed decline.

Totally agree!

Big difference to our situation when we hired him, we were desperate.

They’d be fine with a half decent appointment.
