2025/26 David Moyes

I think Beto, despite it all, has been more productive than DCL. But you could call that a wash.

Where we’ve really gotten better is midfield improvements. All we had was Doucoure. He started every single match. If he was out injured, we were exposed. And he wasn’t all that great.

We also now have a bench and some unproven players that I think are stronger than the options we had the last few seasons.

I get your point and agree with a lot of it. We’re more than incrementally better but not leaps and bounds better. We’re building for the future.

I’m glad we had £100M to spend without PSR fear. That’s an improvement. We just couldn’t attract top talent. So we had to spread that £100M across as many needs as possible.

If we somehow attracted a top striker and spent all our cash, I think we wouldn’t be as good as we are now. I think we spent pretty well and scooped up enough to where we have some depth finally. And Grealish was a massive acquisition.

I don't know why it's why it's required for Moyes to have someone play a 10 role if he's not going to utilize Alcarez there I think a 4-3-3 would be better suited to the players he favors at the moment. Dewsberry hall is comfortable carrying the ball so I feel he doesn't need to be positioned further up especially if he employs a rotating front 3 of ndiaye, grealish and either alcarez or dibling. With the striker situation not currently working out play Alcarez or Ndiaye as a false Nine

In my opinion, our squad is somewhere between the 15th and 17th best in the Premier League. Whilst we are in that situation he's definitely one of the best men for the job. If we ever sign some players with pace and ability we should change the manager, but I have little faith in that happening.
That’s nonsense we were 13th last season and have a better squad. The club won’t be happy with 15th that’s a guarantee

From the little I saw of Rohl, I’d take him or Charly behind Beto and drop KDH behind them. I think KDH is up too high for the style of football he favours. He needs to be that set up guy. He tends to be a rally killer a little bit. He needs to pass to the guys who are more goal minded than him.

The problem is, the personal.
yes a 433 May work with KDH, and players like Rhol. But we don’t have wide strikers to suit a 433, maybe Ndiaye is the only one. So we basically become a 451

I think this is one of Moyes’s fault a bit like dyche wants a hardworking 10.
Again with a hardworking 3 in midfield you can had attacking full backs. Will Moyes get next summer if he’s just managing the here and now and not going in integrate the younger players more. Like 2 nil down yesterday and bring on a midfielder to play on the wing

Im not sure Moyes likes change. If its working 70% he seems happy and thinks i will take that.
As fans we can all say, let’s try garner RB, Rhol or KDH deeper, Alcaraz in the 10, or Grealish in the 10 or Ndaiye as a false 9. But I think Moyes will start the same 9/10 players every week barring injury and suspension

What i can hear, what i can believe, what i can tolerate, don't play a part in what i see, And I see we have improved from where we were..

Your statement above looks more like you're the one playing the control game...
He is and I’m surprise people are donating to this forum to get brainwash by his propaganda. He is not here to discuss and debate, he is pushing a twisted narrative by mass posting the same thing everyday.

Calvert Lewin is a much better striker than Beto

I do not concur that our form has bean up and down this season. I think we have played our strong XI then we create problems going forward for most teams. Our Defense is what lets us down. Granted without Branthwaite, and a CB playing at RB, and no LB for some of the games. Against mediocre sides our defense is good enough but against the better teams those small lapses of concentration get punished. Even against Wolves in the league we got punished twice for poor defending.
Even if we had been able to play Grealish yesterday I don't think the scoreline changes. Maybe we get a consolation at the end??
Yesterday our defense switched off for ten minutes between 55-65 minutes of the game and Haaland punished them. The last 10 minutes was a bit of madness as we chased the game.
Can Moyes change that- the only way for him to change that would be to play Garner at RB and O'Brien at CB. He may be more tempted now he has Rohl available and could look to eithr KDH or Iroegbunam to play next to Gana.
Sorry I got off track, my point was that our teams form has been pretty consistent but the quality of teams we have played has largely determined the outcome (perhaps with the exception of the Palace game)

They both have one goal so far. I think DCL has way more natural talent than Beto. DCL has more tricks up his sleeve. Dom also dealt with injury and his lack of production over time, unfortunately for him, coincided with an uptick in production from Beto.

All in all, two different styles that end up getting themselves isolated and don’t convert much into goals. At their best, I would agree on the whole that Dom is a better striker. Barring injury and playing for a better club than Everton, who knows what his (DCL) limit would be.

Some decent points but your “can’t really complain about the manager” comment doesn’t make any logical sense when looking at your transfer comments. Personally Moyes has had a nightmare of a transfer window and he’s 💯 responsible.

I think if we dissect the manager then 3pts off top 6 isnt a bad return is it?

However, when you look at other areas he's fallen well short.
