2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

I think he been a bit quiet this season but that was one of the best all round polished performances I have seen from him. His passing which can occasionally let him down was excellent, don't remember him giving the ball away. He also created two absolute sitters that Beto missed and put in a handful of other excellent crosses in addition to his ridiculous dribbling. He also intercepted and tackled. If he keeps that level he's a £100m player.

I liked him more on the left, he's still insane, but I think he scores more goals off the left, and takes on more players in dangerous areas there

Problem is I don't think Grealish can play anywhere but the left.
Jack Grealish has played centrally in the number 10 role at Aston villa 😂 question is whether Moyes would be willing rearrange his current attacking template to incorporate Jack in a new role.

If we had to sell one of Branthwaite or Ndiaye next summer who would people choose? Ndiaye could well be our most prized asset if he keeps this up and shines in AFCON/World Cup.
Purely hypothetical as in an ideal world you would keep both obvs, but in the real world it would have to depend on who you could line up as replacements.

Was that the best performance from an Everton player this season?

….1st half was the best I’ve seen from anybody for a while, outstanding. Thought he dropped off in the 2nd half and has to be criticised for the 1st City goal, so it was a mixed bag.

Flourished in a different position under Moyes.

It's a head scratcher for me. He's obviously hugely talented, but I tend to believe that he slows down our counter-attcking game. Same could be said about Grealish, although Grealish links up play a lot more than Ndiaye, brings team mates into the attack and gets us into more threatening positions; Ndiaye is less of a team player in that respect.

All that glitters isn't always gold.

….pretty much why I wasn’t in favour of signing Grealish. Both he and Ndiaye tend to stand their full backs up but I do think Ndiaye does go past defenders more readily. Worth noting that Dibling looks a similar type.

Saying that, Grealish and Ndiaye have been terrific this season so my reservations were wrong. I actually think high quality full backs could thrive linking with both.

Would be looking at the Dutch lad from Coventry for RB.
