Players out on loan 2025/26

Went to watch Burscough today in the FA Vase. Usually get to 3-4 games a season, but first since Gospel-Eze went on loan. Shouldn’t have bothered, as the most work he had all day was putting up with 4 teenagers behind the goal on a day out from Billingham, whilst Burscough ran out 6-0 winners.

Outside of a corner, I can’t recall any action for him. There was potentially a shot. I say potentially, as I was in the toilet when the afore mentioned Billingham fans started chanting “We’ve had a shot”.

Attached picture showing how lonely he was all game.

A third successive start for Harrison Armstrong as Preston travelled to WBA. Albion were leading by a goal to nil at the break and Isaac Price extended their lead on the hour. Armstrong was withdrawn on 69 minutes as Preston chased the game. They pulled one back but finished 2-1 losers. Preston drop to 8th. 6.5 from the Evening Post: "Denied a penalty in the first half. Got on the ball and played with personality."

Martin Sherif not in the match day squad for Rotherham who beat Orient 1-0.

90 minutes and a 1-0 home win for Tyler Onyango whose Stockport beat Exeter at home. Stockport go 4th.

Francis Okoronkwo came on for the last 10 minutes for Lincoln as they protected a 1-0 advantage at home to high flying Stevenage. Lincoln are 6th.

Another full match and a goal and an assist for Isaac Heath as Accrington beat 10 man Swindon at home. That's 2 goals and 2 assists in 8 games so far in his Accrington career. Accrington are 20th.

Armstrong rating today

Sofascore 6.4
Whoscored 5.96
BBC 5.43

Looks to have been his worst match rating so far.

Fraser Barnsley man of thr match for Marine yesterday, with Samuels Smith a close second.

Barnsley made 3-4 cracking saves and is just an assured keeper. Not sure hell crack the PL, but the lad is the best I have seen at Step 2.

Samuels Smith, lightning quick with great positioning
Loads of great runs.

….much appreciated, Barney. You’d hope our youngsters would be superior at that level. A bit surprised Samuels-Smith has gone there but interesting we have a few goalkeepers going that route.

I was surprised to hear hed come to this level.

Looked very comfortable. Only a 28-Day loan, but option to extend. If evrrton had any scouts there yesterday, theyd have been vrry happy with Odin & Fraser.

Both can still participate in FL Trophy and other comps for Everton and will train full time with club in week and with Marine during those sessions.

Another 90 minutes for Harrison Armstrong. Preston lost 1-0 at home to Birmingham despite dominating possession and having the bulk of the chances. Plenty of positive comments on his performance thread. 6.5 out of 10 from the Evening Post: "Always wanted the ball and tried to make powerful runs forward to hurt Birmingham." Preston drop to 10th. Next up Sheffield United at home on Friday.

Another 90 minutes for Harrison Armstrong as Preston came back from a 2 goal deficit to beat Sheffield United 3-2 at Deepdale. 8/10 from the Evening Post: "Wasn't able to tackle O'Hare for his goal. He put in a colossal second half shift though". Again plenty of positive comments on his player thread. Really impressive for an 18 year old. Preston are currently 5th albeit with one extra game played.

Poor day for the loanees.

Rotherham won 1-0 but Martin Sherif was absent again - listed as 'inactive' on Flashscore, but not sure what that indicates.

Lincoln lost 1-0 at Orient. Francis Okoronkwo came on as Lincoln chased an equaliser but to little effect.

Accrington also lost. 2-1 at Fleetwood. Isaac Heath played the full match.

Another start and another win yesterday for Barnsley and Samuels-Smith as Marine beat Scarborough in the last minute 1-2. Another man of the match nomination for OSS too, a strong start to his Marine career.

A mixed week for Gospel-Eze as Burscough beat Euxton Villa 3-0 on Tuesday...

... then lost 3-1 to West Didsbury yesterday including conceding one from near the half way line. (Twitter guy calling him Goodwin again too)

A successful night for Tyler Onyango for Stockport. 90 minutes, an assist and a 3-0 victory away at Port Vale. Appears to be playing right midfield in a 3-4-3 system. Stockport have gone top of League One. Hope he can finally make a decent career in the EFL. Nearly 5 years since his Everton debut in January 2021.
