I prefers alcaraz as our 10...much more purpose and much more direct. Unfortunately this guy will continue to start every match for moyes, and alcaraz probably back on the bench next week which would be unfair on him.

Good analysis. I agree with you. Alcaraz will score if played consistently behind Beto. But he’ll likely be sent back as an occasional sub in favour of KDH.

I think it actually takes something away from his game playing there.

I love gana but maybe we could put KDH and Garner deeper and try Charley, dibbers or ndiaye in the 10, or even another formation all together?

I think there’s options in the squad but we’re not seeing all the best possibilities for the players, and too many square pegs in round holes.

He's a player that a team looking to keep possession turn to. Protecting and rotating the ball high up the pitch and offering himself up for a pass. There's a time for players like him: when we're in control of games. Until then I'd have Alcaraz on.

BUT, i do think it’s time he plays deeper. Not working in the 10, and we’ve Alcaraz who deserves a few games in his best position.

He’s not a “Doucoure 10” like we try to play him - he has qualities and is good on the ball and we’re sending him out to not play with the ball but chase shadows.

Glad to see we’ve hit the Bernard stage of he’s not good but the other good players are only good because of him.

Combine that with the he’s out of position stage and it seems headed only one way.
