You don't think we troubled City today first 60 minutes? 🤔

In the score line? No.

I’ve seen this game so many times from Everton. Start ok, miss chances, give up a goal from an error, never look like getting back into it.

Since Moyes’s return we’ve had four games away at sky six teams and lost all of them scoring 1 goal.

We can go away to teams who are absolutely flying like Palace, Newcastle, Forest and win but when we turn up at any sky six ground the outcome is exactly the same.

We had loads of chances to score at Anfield last season but didn’t, had chances to score at Anfield this season, but didn’t. Had chances to score today, but didn’t.

When it keeps happening it’s no longer just one of those days. We don’t perform the same way at these grounds as we do every other game but other teams don’t have this issue.

2 fullbacks and 2 strikers in January otherwise it’ll be 12th to 15th come the end of the season.

Ndiaye was brilliant 1st half but they knew they could afford to sacrifice a man elsewhere to double up on him in the 2nd. Still managed to spin away and get a cross in from the left.

The relative quality of the teams has something to do with the results.

We did quite good for the first hour. Ndiaye was amazing. If he keeps playing like this we have either a diamond in our hands or 4637484 diamonds in our pockets next summer.

Beto again worked very hard but being a striker, he should put those chances away. Especially when playing world class teams, since you can't afford to be wastful then.

The marking was terrible at the 1-0 but credit to Haaland. His positioning is incredible.
Actually think despite the chances Beto done an alright job. We have some really good players now and should not resort to lumping the ball to him. But i foresee once Branwaite comes back we will play better as a team. Keane and Tark are not comfortable playing out

Another Moyes masterclass there paying deference to a team who are nowhere near as good as they were but have a great striker upfront. The first goal was terrible marking as they had 2 attackers to our 5 defenders but Haaland is somehow unmarked for a free header and the second was poor goalkeeping but then Pickford kept the score down in the last 10 minutes so it made no real difference. ?

Ndiaye was good and the biggest compliment you can pay him is he wouldn't have looked out of place playing for the opposition. Beto should have buried his chance before half time and we should have had a penalty at 1-0 as they have been given against us often enough but I doubt it would have changed the outcome in the end.

It’s a game of outcomes. There’s literally zero point ‘troubling’ teams if you don’t put the ball in the net.
Yes there is. Getting better is a process and we really are light years ahead of what we were last season.

Imagine when Mercedes were struggling but Schumacher was leading development behind the scenes that they took that attitude? It takes time for teams to develop and then reach higher levels.
