I work on multiple screens for a living and very often have TV or something else on one of them. It's not this insane thing you're making it out to be to try and double down on this.

So far he’s not remotely looked like any part of his game is decent.

I wanna believe in this lad, as much much as I still think there's more goals in Beto ( how could there be less, right?).

I think there's two factors our front two are poor:

1. Confidence, comes with goals
2. Our movement and creating chances

I don't think either looks likely to skin and jink around players any time soon.

So it's crosses. Beto usually gets on the end of a few, albeit low/no end product. That's his focus.

Barry scarcely getting that far which makes me think we have to adapt our build up play: get midfielders closer to them both and play off them...

I watched the U21 tournament and he was bang average in that too.

@maccavennie can back me up that I’m not just going early on this one.

I accept other players stood out before him, The Germany France semi was a good watch.
Saw a bit in him vs Brighton that said he has some quality. Isn't up to the speed and physicality of the prem yet, but has played 218 minutes is it?
I've repeatedly been after the CM dept for being to narrow, and that D-Hall is trying to play 3 positions all at once. We've no blend in the midfield, no width from the full backs, and neither striker is effective at holding the ball up or dominating headers. It's not that it makes our play one dimensional because we get the ball to the wide players and try to overload or play through their defence but it is severely curtailing our variables. (ooh err).
It's easier going from very poor squad to middling squad, than it is to go from middling to better than 70% of the league. We have to accept the progress for what it is. It's annoying that we have to see the efforts of a few of our best players wasted by the non quality around them but we can't flip the entire squad in one window. No club can.

(Just for credibility's sakes, I've been a champion of IGG since early doors, and I've asked the question this season if we're now able to suit the only game he's able to provide us with the now options we have).

I was led to believe this lad plays off the shoulder but that completely straight run he made the other day directly into the centre half gave me second-hand embarrassment

To be fair, can we not all agree 11 goals in La Liga is just not that good. Like how did he even enter our radar when looking for a goalscorer?

He was tied for 11th with the most goals in La Liga last season, is there a certain number that would fit your metric as decent in that league?

Yes, 15+ maybe? Sandro Ramirez got 14 the season we signed him. Heck, Beto got 8 in a much tougher league and he's crap.

11 goals in La Liga is so average. He got the same amount as a 38-year old striker, a couple of wingers, and outscored by attacking mids and Ayoze Perez.

Is 11 goals worthy of £27m?
