The Mona Moyes.

I didn’t say real split, however you want to define it. It’s a split whether you think it’s small or big
You’ve also got a contradictory point in there, saying you opposed Benitez but gave him a fair chance but then a moment later assuming that me not waiting Moyes means I won’t give him a fair chance.
I think you just haven’t read my post clearly. I actually said I was happy with last season and think he has done okay this season. As such, giving him a fair chance.
For me at least the September poll showing a slim majority wanted to give him the season and then see, reflects a large part of the fanbase that would be much closer to turning on him than you’d like. Not sure how you’d read it. I’d definitely not say there’s a majority happy to give him his two years.
Nope, it's not a split. There's tens of thousands of 'silent' evertonians, many of whom go the game, who simply don't scream and shout on a forum every time we don;t get the result they think we should. As always, those with a negative agenda to push make themselves louder.
It's not contradictory, I opposed Benitez, but largely stayed silent on the matter. I posted a few things on here during that period, but was hardly his biggest supporter, nor a massive critic.
You do realise that the "slim majority" of supporters of Moyes on an internet forum, where everybody is posting anomymously is not a true reflection of match going evertonians, yeah?
However I do think that those who are big Moyes fans and are excited at his return, who are not a majority, are struggling to accept that others are not that bothered and are going a bit overboard on here handling a bit of criticism of their manager.
Wash your mouth out!
I'm by no means a Moyes fan, but the reports of our fringe players from a 5-1 defeat to Bradford are indicative that our recruitment is still very poor. Whilst we are in that situation a manager like Moyes who can organise a team and capitalise on the disorganisation of others is imperative. If we ever get our act together and buy some better players we can move on to a more progressive manager, but in our current circumstances he's probably the best man for the job.
It's not always about recruitment though, you have to work on the development of players and the team as a whole on the training ground, how much of that stuff do we actually do? I find our backroom team fairly uninspiring and tbh I think it lacks in certain areas. It's reflected in the fact that our main game plan is give the ball to Grealish and hope for the best. The City game will be very interesting for me as of course its no Grealish, will he bottle it and sit back? or will he bite the bullet and play an Alcaraz and try and put something on what is an unpredictable City backline. We do still need a few players no doubt but its also an easy excuse to use at times. We currently have a number of players playing out of position when really only 1 probably needs too (OB) that's not good organisation imo. The 2 strikers we have, whilst neither are world beaters we might get a bit more from them if we actually played to what their skillsets are, that's not good organisation/in game management imo. I just don't always think its about recruitment that's all.I'm by no means a Moyes fan, but the reports of our fringe players from a 5-1 defeat to Bradford are indicative that our recruitment is still very poor. Objectivity is the name of the game! You are actually starting to look unbiased with some of the other posts in here lately! You'll have to step your game up!
