2025/26 David Moyes

Imagine if every manager was judged by their away record at City. None of the clubs would have one. City have lost 15 home league games in the last 10 years. 1.5 per season on average.

He is not being judged just on that. This is again a setup of an argument nobody is making. He had a bad record away at the then big 6 during his first stint, then also with his other clubs since and that's all anybody is saying.

You are right that he does things how he thinks is correct, and that it's okay with you, but you should understand why others don't really like it.

And before it's get stated again, nobody is asking any manager of Everton to go away to bigger clubs and just open up. Another argument used to dismiss quite reasonable expectations of an Everton manager.

That’s a lie. Tim Cahill scored last minute in 04-05, Moyes oversaw an Everton victory away at city on the night they were Boyd by the news of the new Tevez contract when Arteta scored that wonderful goal that Cahill “dummied” the cross, he also won away in 07/08 when Lescott and Yakubu netted.

You’ve just embarrassed yourself with your agenda driven lies or is it a complete lack of knowledge? It’s one or the other. Or both.

That's a lie!!! Cmon Ian, bit of an overreaction here

Pretty much every manager in the league will have a bad record at those clubs. It’s a complete arbitrary irrelevant metric on which to judge a coach who is aiming to finish top half. It’s just an agenda. Arsenal with all of their recourses do exactly the same thing. 😂

Out of interest, guess how many times City with all of their wealth and resources have beat Arsenal or Liverpool away in the last 10 years? Twice. Those grounds are hard to go to for all clubs.

Are certain posters commencing a campaign to lambast Moyes for not battering Cheating Oil Money FC away?

I swear I was reading others advocating he set up like Ozzy Ardiles' Spurs team and go berserk somewhere on here. This is David Moyes folks. David Moyes. A ham sandwich of a manager.

It'll be low block and probably a loss, with draw being a decent point.

Moyes is a plain ham sandwich. Very basic but gets the job done.

Put some building blocks in place for the next manager to move us forward.
On sliced brown bread with no butter or mustard.
And the ham is curling up a bit at the edges.

What we need is an up and coming Mortadella, rocket, burrata with pistachio pesto on Schiacciate (maybe sun-dried peppers too)
