2025/26 Everton Women - Super League & Cup Games

The women's team is a bit of an embarrassment these days. Weren't we one of the powerhouses of the women's game when it properly kicked off years ago? Sad to see how poor we seem to be now. Mind you, they've got nothing on the men over the last 35 years...

Mate, in total Nathan has easily has cost us as around £20m. As far as I know the biggest transfer fee paid for a female footy player is £1.5m so pretty sure we could buy the most expensive ever squad of 18 female superstars and still have cash left over to buy everyone in Runcorn a fried mars bar and chips!

Your mistake is that you are basing the cost of a NEW womens team on previous prices. If you were to buy the best women now, prices have increased a little. So whatever money, if any, there would be left from Pattersons actual cost is irrelevant. My point stands - we should invest MORE in our Womens team.

I was just quoting some facts Sir. I agree with your point - better players are needed.

Went to the game yesterday with my partner, son and niece. My first time at Bramley Moore. We were in the East Stand. What an amazing view! Shame about the footy. We were totally outclassed from start to end. 4-1 in no way flattered United. The gulf between the Top 4 and everyone else is so huge.

Back to Goodison next Sunday for the Forest League Cup game. Lower Gwladys this time and maybe not quite the same view. Lets hope our girls can a confidence-boosting win and batter Forest.

The Forest game should be a win like the FA Cup match. Everton have beat Forest every single game - but basically going to be out that comp already - as it was as straight shoot out really between us and City. The Like's of Weir was told last week she will be playing

Went the game yesterday and it was great to see so many people attending the match. I thought about how I should feel about the match and ultimately I think its disrespectful if I try to sugarcoat this and not at least acknowledge the fact that we where absolutely shocking. It was like watching the men play under Dyche at its worst.

As was I. Just saying you cant price a NEW team up accurately, using old figures.

Doesnt it just seem, for a relatively small cost, we could invest in our ladies to be awesome. Be nice to be challenging for a title. The way things are going, its going to be a while before the blokes team is! :D
