Memories of the 70’s

Not sure if it was in the 70's or later but for a few years each time Arsenal ran out at Goodison they would line up in the centre circle & wave to the crowd & they got applauded too!
It was a nice touch somehow, as we acknowledged that they had a great side.

I thought that was dirty Leeds when they started wearing those tag things in the fold of there socks. I may be wrong as it was such a long time ago

Loads of fans on the floodlight pylons. Great atmosphere. Then remember the queues for the league Cup Final tickets when the queuing started at an Ungodly hour
I queued for nine hours. I bunked off school to get the final tickets. When I went into school the next day, the teacher was curious to know why I was off. I had a note from my mother explaining my absence.
The teacher said that I looked ok on Granada reports queuing for my cup final ticket!!

It was chocker in the railway end embankment.
I was in the stand, whereas you :

Maybe Leeds did it too (it does ring a bell now you've mentioned it).
Arsenal did do it though, I can remember seeing them as clear as anything in their red shirts but am unsure of the decade!!
I post too much 🤣

My memory is vague but I am sure that Bolton had half of it. Remember lots of insults and stuff being thrown at each other
Some fruity comments in here. Forgot about the floodlights.
