2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

It's not nonsense. If you think it's nonsense you aren't even watching the game. Anyone thinking KDH isn't slowing the game down is delusional. People cannot take constructive criticism of a player they like. It's crazy.
Its Jack that slows the game down, KDH just works his game around Jack alot, which means he has to work the speed of his movement to compliment the move and give options..

Thats no dig at Jack, but thats why you might think KDH is slowing us down..

I’ve watched every game this season and haven’t noticed what you’re talking about. Grealish slows the game down by taking lots of touches. KDH generally plays one or two touches and nearly always passes forward. Criticism is only constructuve if the recipient can hear and modify his actions. Otherwise it’s just criticism.

I find we get a bit bogged down the left , over-working opportunities but I don't think that's in KDH or Jack.

Neither has yet clicked with B&B up front ( Charly has a little more ). Once they do and our strikers make better runs, and take chances I think the KDH and Jack will move balls quickly into the box.

Our strikers are bottleneck.

Doucore for all his faults would drive us forward and for a while he was effective at making us direct. KDH slows the play down which does not suit this side at all. People can take offense to any criticism of KDH all they want but he is not a direct player or one that gambles on passes. He has not shown that yet. Charly is to me the better option for that position until we get a technically gifted striker that can play in tight spaces.

I agree, KDH & Grealish like to slow play down and pass to each other.

Meanwhile, Alcaraz & Ndiaye want to make things happen.

….not sure if anybody else noticed, but what impressed me most was how he literally bombed off the pitch and down the tunnel during the half-time warm-up when he was told he was going on.

That said everything about his attitude to me. He was clearly desperate to get on and have an impact which was obvious as soon as the 2nd half started. Attitude is so important, that moment said a lot to me.

Thing is Jack draws defender's in like a Moth to a flame, which leads to more space if he drives a cross in or gives that little pass to the supporting player. It's up to our players to make something of it.

I really hope Moyes doesn't stick him out on wing against City and swap Ndiaye for Grealish.

He's setting up the lad to fail if he does that.

He needs a run of games in a central position.

i think it will have to be one of charly or dibling playing wide with grealish missing, and atm id rather it was charly even though i don’t think hes effective there

kdh has to come back in for this with grealish out

unless he plays kdh in midfield and garner wide right

Keep saying this till blue in the face! Would love to see Charly play right thru the middle as a straight 9 in a straight 3 with Jack and Illy either side.

….i’m really not sure but I’d certainly see him as a better central striker option than Ndiaye. Not the daftest idea & worth trying during a match if Moyes wanted to manage a game for the last 20mins.

He literally bombed? Seems incredible that KDH is serving a ban for taking a quick free kick and tackling someone but Ted Kaczynsky over here is allowed to carry on playing.
