2025/26 Beto

Wonder if any other fanbase dig their players out after a good win, or is it just ours who are weird?
To be fair I think it’s good not to fall into the trap of saying we won so everything is wonderful or we lost so everything is terrible. We can have good results but still be unhappy with things and bad results where there are lots of positives, no issue with having discussions along those lines.

Hearing from FF Beto is close to agreeing an extension also now Tarks is done.

That's a fair and valid point, mate. The trouble is that there are lots among us who will castigate the manager and team for every defeat and draw ("With a braver approach, we would have beaten whoever"), and yet still carp that every win was fortunate and/or should have had a greater winning margin. If they live by the results are the only criterion code, then they should celebrate wins, and not search for reasons to be critical.

Dearie me, how can you miss from there ?

It’s actually a textbook shot. As you can clearly see the keeper has pulled off a worldie reminiscent of a young Lev Yashin.

Would also add he did very well to get into that position and clearly followed the three golden rules of shooting. Plus he didn’t actually have the whole goal to aim at cos of the angle and length of grass.
