2025/26 Tyler Dibling

You haven't watched enough football then to be making any comparisons of this lad to chermiti, he has more talent in his little finger than him. Chermiti is already being laughed out of ibrox and in awful rangers squad
So you agree with my judgement regarding Chermiti. My inner feelings have been vindicated.
Every time I've seen Dibling he's been poor. It's not as if he hasn't played in the PL before we got him.
Time will tell and wish him success. I just hope hes doesn't turn out to be a waste of money.

He's clearly talented and highly thought of in the football world. He didn't have much of a pre-season so he'll not be at his optimum level until Christmas time barring any injuries of course so patience is required not that fans seem to have any in this instant judgement society

You're correct of course.
My despondency on such issues come with supporting this team for far too long.

We bought him because he's a talented youngster who actually wanted to sign for us. He doesn't have pace and never will. He's also not a winger. He's a dribbler, like Gazza or if you're as old as me, Duncan McKenzie. From what I remember of him at Southampton he was always in the middle, beating players and getting a shot off. Personally I didn't think we should buy him because I thought our resources would have been better directed towards a full back or two, and I thought we overpaid by about i£10 million but I certainly wouldn't write him off yet.

He a shy lad who probably struggling to feel comfortable with the first team like keeping your head down. He alot younger then the rest of the team as well. Im sure he will kick on

I grew up down near Soton …

All the people , season ticket holders etc say he’s the best young talent they have seen since Bale …

I refuse to believe he’s turbo gash after less than 2 games on the pitch
First of all kilbane was a decent winger for us during a very productive period. Not amazing but not terrible.
Certainly Not turbo gash. But I was only half joking about Dibling.
I’m fine to give him time, be eased etc. there is plenty of time for him to come good, but the jury is allowed be out. We have bought enough players in our history that were meant to be the next big thing and that don’t come good. John Oster, Stephen Hughes, even Gerard Deulofeu.
I’m sure he will be a decent signing, and I would take Kilbane type now, half a decade of good service… with on off chance of being world beater.

We dont have a good record with young players dcoming in a settling. When we look at Lookman, Kean, and a host of others.

It kind of feels we need to develop a offfield team that works exclusively with integrating younger players.
When you are spending millions on these players you need to do the best we can off the pitch to make this work.

….i think that’s an important point, he’s probably not yet buddied up or able to give his own in dressing room banter.

I noticed Moyes continually chatting with him during the warm up, I imagine they’re working on building him up mentally.

Both Kean Lookman took a good few years after they left Everton, to finally find their feet, especially Lookman, who bounced from club to club, before finding his feet at Atlanta. So I don`t think you can use that particular stick to beat the club with. Both were sold at a profit too.

The only really young player who we`ve let go and immediately went onto great things was Rooney and he was sold to stop us going bust.

True but I think Lookman, Kean, Vlasic etc were all in a side where the senior pros were really struggling themselves and the team was underperforming. It’s not the set up to get the best out of young players coming through.

Dibbling can be eased in, get up to speed without the pressure of starting games. Might be long term the best approach. Let him build his way in slowly and under the radar. It does rely on Moyes giving him some opportunities at the right time though to develop him and not bomb him out completely…which can never be ruled out.

When he does get chances he’s got to try to make more of it than he did Saturday. Bottom line, take a leaf out of Alcaraz’ book. Same goes for Barry.

I'm not sure that's true really. Sometimes it works out with players and sometimes it doesn't, I'm not sure that our record with young players settling would be that different to other similar clubs, but obviously we're far more aware of it when it's our own club.

Its aright for the filth to say Isak didn't have a pre-season and that half sausage Wirtz needs time to adapt, but we cant do the same with our players..

Spot on. We need to be patient as we're not going to buy the top tier players so with these younger players we have to give them time to integrate into the squad and team. That's why I'll defend the likes of Iroegbunam when he gets stick on here as I think with nurture there's a good player there
