2025/26 Michael Keane

I doubt it , but you cannot be out of position like that - Keane was doing his job most of the time ...

Joey go watch the goal again. is 2v3, there are only two defenders. Simple mathematics will dictate there will be one player open. Mykolenko chose to pressure the player closer to the goal, which is correct.

If he had stayed out on the wing and marked Munoz, he rightly would have been labeled a lunatic.

Didn't have him consistently outperforming Tarkowski early doors on my bingo card to be honest. Fair play.

That said - I recall many believing that us retaining him for an additional year in the summer was a mistake :coffee: turns out we'd have been goosed without him.
You could go as far as saying, one of the signings of the summer..

Nah you either aren't paying attention, or you don't understand football if you're digging Mykolenko for their goal. He did exactly the right thing.
Letting the overlap fullback have the freedom of the park harder to beat Pickford with a straighjt shot than on an easy angle providied for him - I played fullback you do not desert your flank ....

So you wanted him to just mark Munoz and then let Sarr run right through on goal with no one to oppose him and score?

Maybe you played full-back in primary school.

There were other players of ours in the middle ....

Nah you have obviously just not watched the goal whatsoever so I'll give you a nice little kiddy picture to help out.

You wanted Myko (16) to stay out wide on Munoz who is hugging the touchline, Keane has Mateta, who are the other players in the middle to stop Sarr? Because he'd either have a free run on goal himself, or Keane would shift across and he'd pass to Mateta.

In no mans land the guy on the wing always an outlet for them .... & he scored an easy goal - I would trust Pickford would have preferred a straight shot than from an angle ?
he stayed in the middle obviouly if he went for the ball - the C/P man would slip it out to the wing in his position ....
