My feeling that he will come good is getting lower and lower, after each 45 minute performance.
We do have to remember though, he is a young lad coming over to a new country, a new way of life outside of football and inside of football. It is not always going to click straight away.
Hopefully he can get a goal soon and feel a bit more comfortable and confident in this environment.

If I agreed with you, we’d both be wrong.
If you are going to be a top footballer 23 years old should be the beginning of your prime, then peaking around 26-27.. The best players already have a few very good years behind them by 23.
When we were on the break and Barry just had to play in Ndiaye I think and he tried to take it on and lost it just felt like a player completely devoid of confidence.

Having said all this, I do think if he got his toe on that cross from Garner we might be having a different discussion.

Apart from Lukaku, I can't remember when Everton signed any proven goal scorers in the last 15-20 years. We're scraping the bottom of the barrel because a player getting 8-10 goals a season costs £30m+.
I had high hopes for this season because we've improved the midfield which will create more chances but so far Beto & Barry just aren't taking them.
Yakubu and Saha….. oh for either of those back with the chances being created….
Andrew Johnson and Yakubu but nothing really since then.

I feel sorry for him in a way - other than the Brighton game, he's largely been in the team either in spells where we've not been playing well or when our lesser players are on the pitch, so in some ways I don't think he's had a fair shake.
Having said that, he's not helped himself. Yesterday he was woeful. Just getting hold of the ball and helping us get up the pitch would be a start, even if he wasn't scoring.
