Totally agree.. I was hoping they wouldn’t pass to him. Broke down every time
Commonly known as Doucoure's Disease.

He scored against them last time we played them.Starting him against Palace would be suicide both offensively and defensively. They don't play a high line so there's no running in behind, and they're maybe the best in the league right now at turning a loose ball in their half into a goalscoring opportunity.
Look how important it is nowadays for your keeper to be good with his feet, Betto could be a great keeper and clubs would still bypass him, yet he's a bleeding striker..The problem with Beto is that a striker of his ilk just isn't sustainable at the top level anymore. You can't just be a goal hanger or poacher in the format he is. You need to be way more involved in the game. No team can afford having a spare part in the team for the majority of the game. Every player on the pitch matters. It's just not sustainable to rely on him getting that one through ball a game or one cross that he can poach because it's not like he's a prolific striker that scores every chance anyway. Seems like a nice bloke but we gambled on that purple patch and it was wrong to.
Barry just needs to start from now on as he's a better footballer that is capable of getting involved in the game more. Just needs a bit of confidence.
Was this when he did his best Zidane roulette impression? He did have a ball rolled infront of him v West Ham, he missed controlled it twice and then knocked out it for a goal kick.
Agree totally. He’s so simple to defend against. He has one way of playing, which this league doesn’t let you have. Teams suss you and work on your weakness.Teams have figured out that all you need to do is defend the space between the back line and the keeper and he's nullified. It's why we can't "play to his strengths."
We should be playing to the strengths of the three behind him anyway.
Perhaps Moyes could change things, just a bit evenAgree totally. He’s so simple to defend against. He has one way of playing, which this league doesn’t let you have. Teams suss you and work on your weakness.
Last year he was a newcomer to the league, shocked a few teams. He isn’t shocking anyone this year.
Thats not even a little bit trueHes still wouldn’t be good enough if we were a 30% possession counter attacking team
Did well today, was a good save as well tbfGutted for Beto. Couldn’t have met that header any harder.
Got a lot of power on it. Hasn't had enough service like that for me. Too often we pull it back to the top of the box instead of looking for a striker. Was unlucky with his header, held the ball up well at times, well done lad.
