2025/26 David Moyes

He might not get many more top flight managerial gigs and he might, given the quick turnover of managers in the prem, only have a couple of seasons with everton.

He's in danger of going out with a bit of a whimper, with a reputation of being decent enough, but also a ditherer, unnecessarily cagey and showing too much deference to the "bigger clubs"

We have a few flair players for once; it would be nice for the fans, who've dealt with some real turgid seasons recently, to see the team really go at the opposition for once. There's always a feeling that the players have their wings clipped in a moyes set up.

Like Grealish wasn’t
Grealish was an unwanted man, with a desire to grab the love of game back and a last chance at a world cup.

Glasner is a wanted man, his club are possibly not showing the ambition he's wanting to see.

But we have Moyes, so why are we already calling for his replacement.

He's at the highest point in his managerial career..

It's almost like Moyes has trust issues not with just the players but with himself as he's always waits until like ten or eleven games to be open with his selections and tactics
I think he likes to build from a solid base which ultimately means he's fairly conservative...But not Dyche conservative ha.

You're towards back end of the seasons you'll see him open up.

Am completely fine with this by the way.

Unwanted 😂😂😂 cause he was
Because Moyes is showing all the signs of what he did 15yrs ago and not having the bravery or in game management to
Kick us on. Safe safe and safe, that’s his mantra.

Oh sorry, pep was really fighting to hold on to Jack wasn't he..

( I meant Glasner was at the highest point of his managerial career..

Whether Moyes kicks us on ( in your mind ) he will build a good foundation and do better then previous managers..

I think that pretty much sums up moving forward doesn't it..

Think what you want, but if he hands over the reigns in a better place then we've been, than he's done his job.

It's expectation management. His teams very often surge when the pressure is off. We had many dismal starts to seasons in his previous tenure, and almost as many Phoenix-from-the-flames post-January surges where the calendar year form by May would have us in the Champions League spot if the seasons started after Christmans. We'd then start the following season with expectations, fall flat on our faces, and then with the pressure off surge back up the league to finish short of tangible achievement.

The next three games will set the tone now. They are tough, so bottom six after Spurs is possible. He really needs at least four points from that nine to keep things ticking over.

So when does Moyes get a new contract then lads?
Term: three more years.
Duties: steady hands, pragmatic tactics, limit panic, collect respectable draws, avoid relegation theatre, blame others for poor recruitment but revel in successful signings.
Objective: finish mid-table (8–12).
Wages: competitive, paid partly in iron bru and muted applause.
Bonus clause: one celebratory DVD when finishing 7th. Instant promotion to folklore.

I typically tolerate this philosophy but I've grown restless and now I demand immediate satisfaction since we have a slightly better squad I know not top 6 except I'm like the rolling stones and I can't get any with his apprehensive approach

Because we have moyes , he's not a terrible manager by any means , he's the meatloaf of managers not an exciting meal but gets ya fed.
