2025/26 David Moyes

TBF, it was @MACCA75 who first mentioned him and then I agreed with that assessment.

Not sure how us mentioning Iraola 8 months ago counts as "hindsight". Maybe you can rationalise that for me?

I think frank will likely be the one who breaks the glass ceiling on moving from here less than huge clubs, Brighton, Brentford, Palace, Bournemouth, all doing very well but don’t have huge financial backing like Chelsea, UTD, Arsenal, Tottenham, I don’t think it’s a test going to any of them it’s dealing with all the issues they have, I don’t think amorin is a terrible manager he’s at a terrible club. I think if Ireola lands at arsenal he does really good - if he goes to utd he likely doesn’t last a season.

I think he's two steps away from a club like Arsenal.

He can come here and make the next step if he likes, as far as Ilm concerned.

Oh right yeah.

Look Dave, he is likely not here beyond the summer if much of the season is as uninspiring as this.

Even the Moyes fans are half hearted in their support. Everybody knows it’s going to be temporary

So can you can you tone it down a bit and stop winding up your fellow fan. There’s no battle here to be won. There’s no need to be posting I hate Moyes every day in various forms. He’s an interim. We all want the excitement of a possible fresh start under new owners with a new stadium, but we are just going to have wait a bit and accept one more period of dullness under Moyes. Which is definitely better than a period of hoping the club doesn’t cease to exist

As you've seen with Forest sacking a solid manager for a manager who's won a trophy isn't a full proof plan  More a fool proof plan!
Nuno got sacked for speaking out against the owner, he seems to have a habit of doing that wherever he goes tbh, the same will happen at Wham eventually but he does tend too pick clubs with owners who have reps for being slightly awkward.

I still laugh that some *clever* people see Southgate as being worse than Moyes.

A feller who won a proper trophy and led England to European finals.

Lol.
A man with an embarrassment of riches of talent to choose from, pitched against the worst international teams for donkeys years, who still managed to prove the most dire football I've seen in years and limp to semi finals and finals??
The only decent international team in Spain, showed us up.

Not sure it is tbh. I cant remember Everton being as bad as we were under Dyche from Aug to jan. Followed this club for a long time and those 6 months were as terrible as its ever been. We offered nothing. Absolutely nothing to the opposition.
Wether it was Moyes or any other competent manager taking over we were no better or worse than ipswich or leicester.
Strong possibility if Dyche hadnt buggered off we'd be away to Portsmouth this weekend.
I think you might look at Frank Lampard’s second season here up to the time he was sacked in the January of that season.
