His lack of substitutions - as we all know - are due to not having a clue about what's going on in-game...then he the turns to chuckle heads like Irvine and McKinlay and they dont know either. So we just get like for like subs when a player looks tired or has had a knock.

Subs are all about changing a games flow when it's got away from you. Moyes doesn't even see the change of flow.

Moyes almost never changes system during a game. That's been true wherever he has been. He also rarely changes systems between games, although he does occasionally do that. We knew what we were getting with Moyes, it was why when loads of people were fawning over him over the past nine months others were more circumspect.

One thing I hated from the presser, and Dyche did it a few times, is when questioned on something (number of subs), he referenced what Pep does.

How is that even a comparable situation?

Not sure it is tbh. I cant remember Everton being as bad as we were under Dyche from Aug to jan. Followed this club for a long time and those 6 months were as terrible as its ever been. We offered nothing. Absolutely nothing to the opposition.
Wether it was Moyes or any other competent manager taking over we were no better or worse than ipswich or leicester.
Strong possibility if Dyche hadnt buggered off we'd be away to Portsmouth this weekend.

I agree with every word.
Against Fulham at home last season was the worst game I've ever seen at Goodison & I've hardly missed a home game since 1974/75.
Moyes coming back was such a relief.

If you did than you should see why this could be a harder transition for him, with moyes not having a bigger say on who he likes rather then having to chose out of a pool handed to him, could be why we dont have a RB, why he cant stick with one of Barry/Betto, certain players not getting more minutes to show themselves..

I'm not questioning Moyes, I doubt you'd find anywhere that I have, I was just listening to Angus explain the clubs approach moving forward.

I got the impression from that seemingly definitive statement that there was a solid known reason why Moyes definitely would have issues with their use and was asking what that was. Curious but not curious enough to watch a 30+ minute interview with a CEO so I was hoping you, or anyone, might tell me.

I can understand Moyes not being happy with the results so far but that doesn't necessarily mean he has major issues with the process. Moyes is long enough in the tooth and with more than enough blots in his own copybook to know that regardless of process there are no guarantees of success in the transfer market.

And I'd argue that 6 games into a season after 1 window is a little early to be drawing ultimate conclusions on a transfer approach. Without definitive knowledge of who we went for and why those that failed did so then we're all grasping around in the dark to some degree.

For instance there could be any number of reasons we ultimately ended up with Barry and not others but Beto's quality, or lack of, is pretty irrelevant to the current recruitment method.

All I posted was what i took from the interview and how ive seen Moyes approach towards transfers in the game.

Definitive - it's not a way i put stuff across, even if i know I'm right on something, I don't push it out as a definite.

It's about opinions, and that is what i took from the interview, you obviously didn't which is perfectly fine..

A difference of opinions - as simple as that.

Not sure where I mentioned Betto's quality or recruitment tho.
