2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

The obligation…. That we took anyway? At some point we knew and that didn’t matter.
Yeah we made the signing, their wasn't much difference in the price and it became an option not an obligation, as a fan I wanted him to play more and hit the obligation, but as an owner you dont want to be forced in to the signing so your gonna take the option aren't you..

We only gave him 2yrs aswell so in a way we're still just watching how it goes with him..

We bought him to sell. It’s just weird considering what we did to fill the position instead.

Try the lad as an outright 9 Centre Forward in a straight 343 keeping the game more on the floor than just high punts. Can't be any worse than we have. Too good a player to leave on the bench in the squad we have at the moment.

Doesn’t Charley tend to play the kind of ball that Beto likes to run onto? I remember them having a good partnership last season. Our other AMs don’t really play to Beto’s strengths.
Spot on. Service to both 9's gas been woeful. even Haaland would struggle.
But he had De Bruyne and Foden playing him in.
Beto / Barry have no one to do this but Charley has shown that he can given the chance.
