Still think we'll finish Top 10 under him.
taking him far to serious, it's much easier taking the pish. tying him to a position he's chosen previous is like plaiting diarrhoea, he heel turns faster than wwf wrestlers, even more scripted. I find it very funny, presumably he's a grown man.Dave … he can class them as his glory years if he wants …
Like starmer and Kim jung ung … you don’t actually have the right to tell people what they are allowed to think
yes.Still think we'll finish Top 10 under him.
Moyes is still famous for selling Wazza (With the help of the Fat Controller) . Totally agree with all you said.Yes agree with all that and then to put Myko of for Coleman With 15 to go was embarrassing. Moyes will be gone in the summer is my guess
We're expecting Moyes to do things he's never done in 30 year career as manager.
He doesn't get his sides to try and win games in the first 20-30 mins.
He doesn't get his sides to kill games off when they're on top.
He doesn't make creative, positive subs to change a game.
He's here for 2 more seasons. It'll be pretty dull but we should finish mid table.
I'm ok with that. I never expected anything else when he came back.
I reckon his almighty turn around from January to May has tainted the size of the job. Had we done ok and been comfortable with a few games to go then the ceiling wouldn't have been raised so far. As it was we were 6th in the form table from what was it fourth bottom form? I can't recall such a turn around since the west ham Tevez miracle (what a dirty piece of business that was).I think we all knew what Moyes was going to do and what he can do. He has a ceiling though and will only take us so far.
I see comments saying he's improved us from last year. I mean, he has, but it was such a low bar! What Dyche and the two managers before him had done here was criminal. Moyes has got us playing better football than what we witnessed under Dyche but it's not really something to shout about.
Glory in football terms...and especially for this club = silverware.Dave … he can class them as his glory years if he wants …
Like starmer and Kim jung ung … you don’t actually have the right to tell people what they are allowed to think
Yes Garner might plug the hole at right back but leave a bigger hole in centre midfield.100% this.
Garner is an intelligent footballer and he would do a good job at right back like Nunez at City and other centre mids are doing at right back. He's better in the middle but he will have to suck it up due to the recruitment team.
I'm amazed other teams haven't done that to O'Brien before. Kick the ball 10 yards beyond him and skin him in a foot race.
Now that the blue print is out on him (which was obvious) imagine what Doku will do against him in a couple of weeks. Thankfully Palace don't have Eze any longer and Sarr plays down the right.
In general, yes, but there can also be glorious victories that do not result in titles. A few spectacular derby wins would be glorious, but this manager doesn't tend to do that: The Andy Johnson derby being the obvious exception that proves the rule. To be fair to him, any derby win during his tenure has been against the odds. I just wanted to see us compete against them last week - give it our all and make a contest of the game from the off. He didn't even manage that. It wouldn't be glory to do that and lose - but it would be honourable and worth getting behind in the way "stability" isn't.Glory in football terms...and especially for this club = silverware.
It just does.
Post west ham game... Your thoughts...I doubt we were allowed to get anything from the derby.
But Leeds and Villa are certainly opportunities missed.
Especially that Villa game, it is more on the mentality side. We need urgency. We need more proactive subs. We need better counter attacks & set pieces.
Let's win the next 2 games and build on a momentum. Set the standard high.
