2025/26 Jack Grealish

His play is very predictable but he hardly ever gives the ball away. I just wish he’d look to shoot sometimes.

I think he looks like that at times but nearly all his passes are perfectly weighted. Watching him now week in week out you appreciate how good he is even when he doesnt look like he's flat out.
Reminding me a bit like when we had peter beardsley. We've a few more better players now than we did in that beardsley side but you can still tell they're a level above their team mates. There is a slight fear that if results drop some will start expecting him to do more.
Just get good movement around him and he'll do his bit.
Unfortunately we've strikers who dont score.

He’s clearly a top class footballer, but teams will double up on him and know exactly what he’s trying to do. (Play an eye of a needle cross)

Play him at number 10, get him moving with the ball centrally and he’ll cause chaos.

But why can’t he just try and score himself. He is so often in good positions and never takes a crack.
Is he though? There is no point just battering a ball off a defenders backside is there? He's always got 2 around him, he gets some good balls to Garner usually at the edge of the box but don't think I've seen many examples of him having a sight of goal himself

Often the goal comes from the ricochet or the save though. Too often we were trying to walk it into the net.

Hell, they are weak on corners, so winning a few more of those would have made a difference.

He must move to 10 in order for the team to find balance.

We are all over the place in terms of positional play at the moment. Too many gaps and sacrifices in order to keep him in the flanks. Moving centrally with a free role between pockets is the best solution imo.
