2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

Not at all he’s just predictable especially without a proper rb behind him.

He’s just expecting everything to feet and it gets easy enough to figure out what he’s wanting to do.

Players like Mane (former RS) knew when to show to feet and when to run in behind, he needs to learn quickly or he’ll be just a talented maverick - ‘streets won’t forget’ type.
Ndiaye is never predictable. Don't matter if he wants the ball at his feet or not you can't call him predictable

In the context it’s being said he is predictable. He’s unpredictable with the ball at his feet, but it’s predictable that he will want the ball to feet and will look to take his man on. It’s not a criticism, it’s just a fair observation of the type of player he is.

He is probably the best at making space in this team
He’s the worst at attacking space as well.

If he would vary his game he’d be a massively better player/more effective player.

Sometimes let the ball do the work, really basic stuff as a forward/winger.

If your full back is worried you might run in behind or between him and his centre half he’ll naturally drop a yard or two. That over a few occasions then puts a seed of doubt into his mind about what you’re going to do - that gives you space when you show to feet.

If he knows you’re coming to feet every single time he knows what he has to do to stop you (not saying it’s easy to do that when Ndiaye is on it).

He just has levels he could go up if he actually mixes it up.

Precisely, the coaches need to be working hard with him on this.

He could go up a gear if he varies his game.

He likes the ball to feet but many a time he runs on to the ball. I just can't understand the criticism of one of our most outstanding players.
