Yep, Davey seems like he is struggling with these players.

The expectations are massive.

I am a Davey supporter by the way, I want him to do well.
He’s certainly got time in my book too but this is poor start to the season considering the fixtures we’ve had and the vibes many felt for the new players and the stadium factor as well.

I thought some got very carried away with the summer business, at the end of the day we only signed two players who we can call guaranteed starters and it’s not like we were starting from the highest of bases. It was always going to take time as the likes of Dibling and Barry are still very green.

That being said, we’ve gone backwards from the second half of last season despite the fact I think everyone would agree that we have better players now. Moyes is giving the impression that he’s ostracised many of the squad players by how little he uses them and the fact that they all looked like strangers in the Wolves game, that’s fine if your starting 11 is doing the business but ours isn’t - not by a long way.

Just me that thought we played well then? Their goal was a sucker punch which gave them momentum and it was a smart tactic to double up on O’Brien. We still had more than enough to try and win it ourselves.

I’m not in panic mode just yet, especially when we’re 9th in the table and given where we were 6 games in last year
Palace, city and spuds up next. We have spunked away 4 points at home against lowly west ham and villa teams. We're masters of self inflicted pressure.

Have to agree with others that the transfer window is looking more of a fail as our early form has worn off. Couple of injuries and suspensions and it looks even more disjointed.

Grealish and Ndiaye are having to overplay with no full back overlapping and no striker running off into difficult positions.

Really should have pressed on early second half. Movement was not existent and complacency set in. All of them starting playing like we were 3-0 up

Yes it's pretty obvious he doesn't trust more than about 15 players and to be honest I don't blame him. It's not like there's anybody who isn't playing who I feel would improve the team. The only option might be to play 3 centre halves and then play Patterson and Mykolenko as wing backs but I'm not sure if that would make things better or worse.

We can talk about it all night but the main issues are right back and centre forward. It's difficult to progress given the above issues.

Having Branthwaite back will help as the team can push 10 yards further up the pitch.

I agree with the shouts of trying Ndaiye upfront through the middle. Dibling could then start down the right.

Moyes was defo set up for Potterball. Only 2 subs made when Garner and O’Brien were blowing chunks on 75 mins.

Went to sleep after 30 mins and West Ham looked like the only ones that wanted to go for it. We were happy to pass the ball around before hoofing and hoping for a second ball somewhere.

Ref didn’t help. That Drewsbury-Hall yellow card was a disgraceful decision.

Play like that against Palace and it’ll be a big loss.

You can't take Garner out from centre midfield as he's been our best player this season arguably. Maybe the much criticised Patterson should play as at least it gives balance to the team. I await the usual Patterson haters now!
Completely agree that he's probably our best right now in midfield, and under any other circumstances I wouldn't think of moving him, but I said that with the assumption that Coleman and Patterson are not considered playable apparently. In which case, what other option is there?

Of course I do, that’s why I’m treating his previous term as a different period. It’s been crap for years and, as said, this result won’t matter in a year as we will be crap then too. It’s like you taking time out to be bothered about the Bournemouth result this time last year (you may do now I’ve mentioned it) but it doesn’t matter. Were the other guys of football. We will be for the rest of our lives. Get used to it.
That's the spirit, Percy. Blimey, why even bother if that's the sum total of our aspirations.

Palace are in Europe so we may be playing them when they're not at their best condition otherwise I agree they'll beat us I'd they are on form

We lost control of the game midway through the second half, he didn’t do anything to change things and I didn’t see much of a change in tact. When the equaliser came it was deserved and all changes were late and like for like.
Think we lost control of the game with O'Briens fluffed header back to Pickford. Should have been a goal and suddently WHam came alive

Moyes needs to stop putting players out of position and get us to have some balance so if that means Patterson or Coleman then so be it
