2025/26 David Moyes

I'm not even overly bothered by the result tonight. A game we should obviously look to win but looking at our squad it's clear we're going to be hovering around mid table all season and matches like this are typical of any side in our position.

It just makes Moyes' decision to not go after the cup last week even more frustrating. No idea what he was saving the players for.

Absolutely spot on.

We're about 2 transfer windows from having a stab at 6th/7thnso last Tuesday just looks even worse after tonight. Always going to add uneccessary pressure on needing a win tonight.

I don’t really get this argument, he has done and it’s Beto. He’s started 5 of the 6 games in the league, this idea that we’ve given them alternate starts just isn’t true, it’s like people haven’t actually watched the games. Getting subbed off after 70 minutes is normal, especially when you’ve been crap.
There’s still him randomly getting dropped in there though. Make a decision.

Moyes isn't soft. He'll know he messed that one up completely. 4 games without a win now. Nowhere his job being on the line but there will be some discontent if Palace do a job on us this weekend. Really has backed himself into a corner with that Wolves game.

Would like to see a bit more flexibility, even if it isn’t his strong suit.

When things clearly aren’t working as they weren’t tonight -
- swap Grealish and Ndiaye for 10/15 mins
- Ndiaye in the 10 for a while with KDH tucked in on the right
- Drop KDH into a midfield 3 & let Grealish have a free role for a period.

Etc etc

We've been found out, clearly as day.

Double up on Grealish, give him the cut back edge of box and charge down and shot.
Keep it on your right in your own half until we squeeze over and switch it to the left against O'Brien in space.

In the current setup Ndiaye has gone from a player keeping you edge of seat to looking note like Lindstrom or Harrison in terms of finding anywhere to go. One common denominator is O'Brien simply isn't a right back so he's pretty much ignored by the defence and midfield.

Can slate the strikers but it's simple dont give them space to run into and we have nobody running through the centre to break the lines so have both CBS and two centre mids around them routinely.

Like KDH but simply put he's not a number ten.
