Brilliant manager, he was so good at Atalanta they made him honorary citizen of the city. They were fighting relegation and got into Europe and competing for the league. Wonder if he goes back for any of the players.

Nowadays that's a pen, reason his arm is stretched out, that's what gets you so annoyed with var, one week it's a pen the next it's not, no rhyme or reason with it. That was much more than a pen than Tarkowskis was and the less said about Salah's handball yesterday the better....according to the BBC anyway. Scrap var far too open to interpretation, bias or not.

Thing is, apart from very few instances where there’s an obvious attempt to stop a goal bound shot or whatever, the “natural position” excuse can always be used. KDH v Brighton was twisting at the waist so of course his arm was gonna come over the top of his body; Cash was throwing himself to block a shot so of course his arm is going to trail the rest of him.

Refs need to decide how much that matters and be consistent FFS. Either handball is handball and they’re all given, or accept that players can’t control where their arms are in that moment and give none of them.

Just pathetic that every year there has to be a few early test cases where someone gets screwed over, so they can finally come to a consensus on what the rule is (and then proceed to be horrendously inconsistent when applying it, anyway), especially when the guinea pig this year was us, twice!!
