New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

If those through pass kiosks are causing this much disruption to fans then Everton should tell 'Aramark' or whatever they're called to rip them out.

Everton shouldn't be passively telling their fans to get in touch with them to sort matters out.

Just a matter of time before all that's in the media and then the stadium haemorrhages credibility. Do Everton FC want that instead?

Oh I’m sure it’s fine in the majority of use cases, but I’d only use them out of curiosity, anyway.

I’ve no desire to run the risk for basically no gain other than satisfying some mild nerdy interest I have in the technology.
I did actually use it another time and it worked fine, it’s really quick and simple and has improved since I used it and had this issue. Just a hassle that I had to spot the overcharge and am chasing it up. I do appreciate it was a test event but feel these types of queries should have been sorted much quicker.

At the Roma game there weren’t enough products ready so people were entering then queuing but now it’s much better prepared with more beers etc just ready to go. Used it for a pie at the Villa game and was the envy of the North Stand chicken crew. 😀

If the slogan "The People`s Club" was still relevant to our club you would certainly think the club would be on to Aramark getting them to sort it out or get out of the stadium. But maybe this is an example of the new owner`s approach to running things, they are happy with the money they get from the contractor, so send the fans with complaints to them, no our problem.

It’s entirely possible that the club is telling Aramark to get it sorted.
I wouldn’t expect those kind of conversations to make it to the public though.

Sent an email to Aramark on the 15th due to an overcharge, they only just issued a refund.

They'll want your receipt if you haven't got it yet, you can get it from here:

They want to see the barcode part if you that a screenshot of it.
Crikey you as well? This seems to be completely unworkable. People are just not going to risk being overcharged and then spend weeks chasing a refund. It really isn’t worth all the hassle is it?

Think beers would be no problem, mine and @Simo appear to have been done by sausage rolls being put out in the place the Korean Chicken should have been.

Aramark has credited me the full £11 instead of the difference, not sure if that's because I had to email them twice as they didn't get back to me for over a week.

Isn’t it done by a multiple camera system though, where they watch what you’ve taken, not where you’ve taken it from? If they can’t differentiate between Korean Chicken and a sausage roll then it’s even more of a problem than I thought!

I’ll pass, just isn’t worth it for me personally.

That's what I thought before I got overcharged, but it seems the cameras are location based rather than scan for what was actually taken.

They did bang on if you put something back make sure you put it back in the same place. Doesn't help when the staff didn't take that into consideration, unless it was done by a supporter, and that would run the risk of them being over charged.

Yes, that'll be the likely attitude. The club have got the contracted cash in and the transaction now is between direct seller and buyer.

They like to flog a good story about The Everton Family but you see what a load of old BS it is when fans are treated like this.

That`s true, but just reading comments from folks that have been in touch with the club having had problems, the club response seemed to be to fob the fans off saying it was Aramark`s mistake, contact them not bother us.

Never forget that corporate organisations were consulted about how to build this stadium, and the internal fit out in particular. It's designed foremost to make cash on an industrial scale. The club have pretty much surrendered the facility to the private sector and everyone you see working there are employed by them and everything you touch is owned by them for as long as their contracts to lease parts of the stadium exist...including the plaza which is lock stock and barrel a Budweiser piece of property for the foreseeable. This is why it's a fortress to get into, and why there'll be multiple problems that occur that it's practically useless to get in touch with the club about.

The stadium is ours eventually when it's paid for by the club (that is, the fans, who pay for it in the next few generations).

This is not Goodison Park. This is very much NOT Goodison Park.
