I thought 'Coisty' there at the end of the game was a disgrace...well, a bigger disgrace than he usually is.

Didn't have the bollocks to actually say Martin should go just trying to cajole the other pundits to say it for him.

The only way Sevco will ever get out of the rut they're in will be to allow a manager time to change them up from an agricultural mess of an outfit to being comfortable with the ball at their feet.

But their fans aren't arsed about that; they smell vegan, non-brown shoe wearing blood and they want him out to be replaced by someone more *ahem* 'staunch'.

The owner is their real enemy though. He's the real target in their sights. And he'll be harder to shift than poor old Russ.

Isn't that right @laudo9 ? :coffee:

The owners only need to hold their hands up and admit to the fact that they have made an utter 'James hunt' of the appointment of this fraud as manager and end this farce now.

As someone from your neck of the woods might say dave " thoughtfull, progressive manager, my Arse!! "

That first half with Rangers had everything last night and certainly kept the ref busy.I thought by the current rule of thumb Rangers should have been awarded a penalty the 'push' was deffo next to no existent.
An incredible clearance off the line by Genk prevented Rangers from opening the scoring and the sending off put them right on the ropes.
The dead man's walk continues but for how much longer, answer's on the back of a postcard addressed to @davek 🙂

If there's been a wrong choice's not the quality of manager, as he is perfectly capable of putting together a team and style of football that can get results in the SPL....if left alone to do so and if the players haven't got all the old network of players and media up there to tank games and get another manager in.

The owners - who, as I say, are the real bone of contention for your fans - haven't travelled across the Atlantic to hand Martin plaudits. They're there to sack him and hire his successor...a pattern we know here all too well.

Be careful what you wish for though...

I thought the game turned on fractions.

The biggest mistake was committed by that brain donor Diomande. Lungeing in like that and getting a straight red immediately lost Sevco the game.

Think I'd rather have dave in charge than this fraud😳( that's how bad he is).
When you're going to Ibrox and along with 99.9% of the support you are in the mindset of expecting to lose every week, no matter who the opposition is! you tend to demand that the people in charge do something about changing that!

For whatever reason the owners are dragging there heels in making the decision that is patently obvious to everyone else, the inevitable will happen soon, only question is how much damage the owners are prepared to allow these clowns in charge at the moment to inflict on the club. 😡

Dio was stupid with that challenge, this idiot sets us up to fail every week, leaves us wide open constantly with his 'revolutionary system' 🙄 if Genk had a half decent finisher they could have been 4 up at half time tbh!

You dont have the players to cope against European clubs. The SPL though you should be able to transition to a team that can build from the back.

The problem is that your fans want Martin gone for non-football reasons...and they want Cavenaugh gone for predictable reasons.

I fear the green shoots of progressivism that I was hopeful of at your club are being crushed by the weight of history.

The fans (and players) will get what they want soon on the managerial front; the ownership change they want though wont happen too soon.

Exactly. ;)

While Genk had missed a couple of great chances, the game turned when Diomande forgot is wasn't a Scottish ref who was officiating, and jumped at his opponent like Bob Beamon on steroids.

It was an insane challenge. As clear a red card as you're likely to see for a while. The only way as you can blame Martin for Rangers being at such a disadvantage is if you criticise him fir starting Diomande, which I doubt any Rangers fan had a problem with before the game.

Martin is too progressive for them. Not direct enough; and not staunch enough.

It's as simple as that.

My gut reaction is, he's not good enough, but my head says he must be given a chance for his formation, and new signings in particular, to work out.

When Gordon Strachan was appointed as Celtic manager, I was less than pleased. I couldn't see what he had done to earn the job.

He lost his first competitive game 5 - 0 in Bratislava, then followed it up by drawing at Fir Park. When Celtic lost to Rangers at the Crestfallen Stadion my gut told me he wasn't good enough, but I did say he deserved a chance, and you can't sack a manager after a couple of months.

WGS proved me completely wrong. I may be right about Martin, and I may be wrong, but I feel he deserves, at the very least, six months before the sack is seriously discussed by the Rangers top brass.

As I said, I don't think he's good enough, but that's not the reason I think he deserves more of a chance than the Rangers Loyal are prepared to give him.
