He's become a forgotten man. Our £80m-rated star defender. 7 games missed already... his name isn't even being mentioned by Moyes. Can't help but feel if he was on the verge of a return he'd be spoken about. Extremely concerning, and extremely typical for Everton.

It’s ridiculous. He was supposed to be in contention after the last international break, now Moyes is saying he’s not even in the group. Rohl’s knock also seems to have now kept him out for 3 games and counting.

I’ve said it many times, Everton as a club will never achieve anything if it can’t get its best players regularly on the pitch together. We’re a different team when Branthwaite plays but we don’t get him on the pitch enough.

There is no issue with easing him back. The back 5 is fine currently. Not like Keane is a walking error and gifting goals like the bad old days from a year or two back.

Last season was similar. Wasn't around for the first six weeks, came back for the Palace win but had a setback after and only really started playing from November onwards.

Barely missed a game for the rest of the season so Moyes will know what he's doing and when the time is right to put him back in the 11.
