2025/26 David Moyes

Some also have very obvious agendas to push too.

Even if we were in the Champions League places and still in both cups, they`d still be looking for and finding fault in either Moyes / the players he`d signed or both.

Note also they way they pile in on both the owners and Moyes = agendas.
Lets not pretend were the only fans that have turned on Moyes I like many didnt want him back but appreciate what he did last season but so far it seems like at times wee gong back to normal out of the 7 games its been 20 minutes overall in games that we have looked good

i dont think we have particularly played well this season

v leeds - got battered for most of the game and never looked like we were going to score

v brighton - lucky not be 2-0 down by half time

v villa - never looked like we were going to score

v wolves - really poor defensive mistakes and wolves almost got an equaliser at the end

v liverpool - game was over after 30 minutes

its obviously going to take time for this new team to gel together and to find the right combination of attacking players that work well together

i just dont think based on the previous 5 games there is any reason to be confident that we will beat west ham convincingly on monday night
*sigh*

We can have our issues with Moyes but also admit that we thoroughly deserved the Brighton & Wolves wins lads....

Correct, if everything that could’ve possibly gone against us in a game of football went against us, then we’d be bottom on 0 points :(

Bizarre and pointless post.

Everyone's disappointed.

If you were reviewing and reflecting on it - im sure the management team would own up to the mistake, they made wrong calls in the management of the game.

Certainly also think they misread the public mood - which i have to admit has surprised me.

I think the RS singing about trophies and 95 last week - really hit home and was still raw come Tues and the aftermath.
Based on that press conference I’m not sure they would unfortunately.

As I said the other night - I've always had the impression from Moyes that he's never been arsed about the league cup for one reason or another. It's a poor look really.
Are you still not aware that none of the managers in the PL are arsed about the league cup? Where have you been hiding since the authorities had to make the league cup compulsory for all league clubs when a good few in the PL made it plain they did not want it? Clubs with any ambition are (were) content with league. Fa cup and where possible Europe.
As someone else has already said, if a club somehow drifts into the last eight by selecting under strength teams without seriously affecting their first choice players, and their league/Europe involvement, only then do they start to get interested.

Moyes has been handed options and he doesn't know what to do with them. He just wants Branthwaite in the back four and a hard working CM and then whatever the attackers in this team can do is a bonus.

He's way out of his comfort zone at this club now. He's not in control anymore and I think the last few games underlines just how out of his depth he is.

He cant properly use talent like Ndiaye, Grealish, KDH and I doubt he'll be able to or want to integrate younger talent like Rohl and Aznou.

Doesn't even remotely excuse the fact that we could've very easily fielded a stronger XI on Tuesday night to little consequence considering that a) we don't play again until Monday night, and b) we don't have European footy to contend with this season. If neither of those points were valid I could've maybe understood the rotation - but because they were I'm still personally baffled by how he approached it.

It's still a cup competition, a trip to Wembley & a potential opportunity to wipe out the cringe '1995' narrative that the kopites pin to us season after season..

I liked he's interview, shows that we have moved on from relegation battles and I liked Moyes arrogance from the Wolves result, I've moved on from that, lol. Good managers and players need to show arrogance.
Ironically - this is one of the (many) things that actually stops Moyes from ever being seen as a top manager as it is an 'arrogance' that he simply hasn't merited....
