A no win situation

Should Moyes have played what everybody thinks was his strongest XI, last night, and Grealish and AN OTHER got injured, being kept out were out for a long period, he would have been slated for playing them. He just can’t win. Accept who we are. We’ve had to live with this for years, and it’s not going to change overnight. We all want success but there’s no guarantee when.
He played him anyway should have started him.Barry might have got a decent pass.

Nah. The last 10 years it’s been won by Chelsea (1), Man City (5), Man Utd (2), Liverpool (2) and Saudi-backed Newcastle (1).
He screwed up...end of. We have a light schedule and there was no reason to make 7 changes in this game and throw away whatever momentum we had gained. Now we go into the West Ham game after two losses and a sour taste after the pathetic display against Wolves. Hardly a masterstroke by Moyes. If he really didnt care about the competition and didnt want to risk injury he wouldnt have brought the likes of Grielish on later to try and rescue the game. Stop trying to defend him.

Exactly, I seen plenty of fans asking for Dibling and Alcaraz to start. He can’t play Ndiaye and Grealish every game, they are two players who kicked more than anyone.
Tbf I don’t think many are stating “no changes from the team that beat Wolves 3 weeks ago”.

More “we’re not happy with so many starting changes in an apparently winnable game” After all the team that faced Mansfield at home was stronger. “Travers in goal, with a defense of Coleman, Mykolenko, Tarkowski, and Keane. In midfield, Garner, Armstrong, and Alcaraz featured, while the attack consisted of McNeil, Grealish, and Barry.”

He's not been the one doing this;

Since 2013, Everton have made seven or more changes to the starting XI in seven League Cup games against Premier League opposition.

In all but one of those fixtures, we were knocked out of the competition. For a club in the midst of a thirty year trophy drought, we have a habit of disregarding the League Cup.

Roberto took it seriously in a third season here where he was under the cosh from fans who believed he'd almost relegated us by getting 11th the previous season. And in that following season we reached the SFs of the LC and had a foot in the final at 3-1 up on aggregate and then we went to an FA Cup SF.

You've got to gamble and go for it.

...and we still reached 11th that season.

So what you are saying is that it was pointless.
