I was mocked for saying we needed a first team striker.

Not by me! I'm astonished the vast majority of this fan base seem to have zero problem or given it a second thought that the perenial lowest scores in the league have started the season with only 2 strikers and not a word has been said about it (obviously it helps we were on the right side of league wins against Brighton and Wolves which could have easily gone the other way and changed the conversation).
