I like KDH, but I do think I would have brought Brownhill in instead of him, and spent the £25 million getting Douglas Luiz in. Seems he’s going to Forest, I find it hard to believe we can’t compete with them.

Brownhill at this stage of the window is a no brainer and I find it staggering that anyone would be so pig headed and delusional to debate it. Clearly the superstars that everyone thought we were holding out for aren’t going to be joining, and our midfield is currently a gaping chasm relying on a 36 year old as the last thread to hold it together.

Some serious activity needs to happen very soon mate for that to happen.
And that's before we even contemplate wingback cover and a decent winger.
I fear we have splashed the cash we have in areas not as critical as these.
At the start of this summer I thought it was obvious we'd be signing an immediate starter to replace Garner and an obvious Gana successor to take over from him over the course of the season. Instead we bought 3 number 10s again lol (I'm being facetious and including Grealish in that)

If we don’t end up getting him and no suitable wide options arrive there’ll be absolutely nowhere to hide for the recruitment team, the fans will be livid.
KDH is a box to box midfielder . We need a powerful ,physical CDM alongside him and Grealish at 10. That gives you a good balance of power , numbers and technique and gives you midfield options off the bench.
Keep Armstrong for experience and sell Tim and that's central midfield sorted.
Palace are looking at Dibling now if Eze goes. Hope they get him sharpish so the club can stop hiding behind trying to get him

If it comes to it let other teams better equipped speculate on that kind of fee. We need some proven quality as well. It’s a balancing act and for me anything £35+ is starting to tip the scales.
