Confirmed Signing Jack Grealish

He was a major part of a dominant Manchester City team, who were one of the most successful club sides in the world. They valued him to the extent that they felt the need to make a PL record bid, make him the most expensive British player ever and pay him 300k a week.

Coupled with that, he has huge marketing appeal.
He wasn't a major part. They probably would have won all those games without him. What is this marketing appeal? No one is supporting Everton just because Grealish has joined.

Fair enough but I think City should demand the loan club fully covers his wages as we're not asking for a loan fee.
They probably will demand. But if your them, i doubt they will get their way (and obvioulsy may be stuck anyway). City paying less of his wages during a loan, is better than paying the full lot. Though it's obviously how much each club wherever he goes to, would agree too

This 100%. No other club is going to pay him 300k per week. Those that can afford him, don’t need him. It comes down to how much city are going to subsidise his wages. They are better off accepting 200k a week from us or another club than have an asset frozen from the first team and still paying him £15m a year.

Can’t see us paying £200k pw

His wages are £15m for the year supposedly. If City want it covered in full, it can be dressed up any which way as a fee and wages, just wages or just loan fee.
Its all academic as the team getting him will have to land on a figure they’re comfortable with and City will would have to be willing to accept it, the rest is just details.

Most Everton will pay is 150k and they might not pay that

As it should be….I don’t want another PSR points deduction.

He needs to consider a pay cut or City will have to subsidise any loan, or even if he leaves permanently get a contract like that is unlikely unless he goes to the Middle East
