GOT opened the thread mate - how's your quince doing ?
I was like a savage beast when I cut it back. Unfortunately, when I was doing my machete through the jungle act I knocked a few diddy quince off. However, I had a count the other day and I have at least 25, which is more than enough. It's now grown bigger than it was before ! Do I just leave it now and not feed it anymore ? Sorry to hear about your bother.

Feed once a week with a tomato feed high potash after water it first well then feed stop feeding as the fruit starts to ripen - it was my cousin who died aged 51 only a grand dad 4 weeks ago doh ....

Percy Thrower couldn't do better Joey, I suppose the answer lies...as always - in the soil
TBH it's not great soil with a lime PH - when I plant through the gravel & heavy duty ground cover I dignout wit a trowel a 10 inch pot or more & use a good brand compost now Coopers Irish peat multi purpose with slow release fertiliser plus bone meal - plus liquid feed occasionally
Other than dead heading maintenance free.....
The preparation before planting is key too - you landscape the area how you want it before planting...

This yours mate?
Sure is its about 5 years old - look when planting not everything goes to plan - so you dig out & replant with something new - no acid loving plants as its on a lime PH soil - plus my wife & I take cuttings as insurance on choice plants - plus if i am out & see a corker of a plant we purchase it etc
