I doubt even Villa would fill a 62K Stadium unless they were constantly qualifying for the CL every season.

So the idea that Birmingham will get anywhere near is laughable. It's the 4th biggest club in the West Midlands behind Villa, Wolves and West Brom.

62K may be ambitious but seems very deluded and pointless for the club it's intended for.

Wolves had big ambitions to rebuild their ground, but they went down and that put the brakes on the new build. If the Brummies came up they could get a big crowd being from a well populated area, but as soon as the novelty wore off and if they failed to be successful they`d be left with a lot of empty seats. Its noticeable that teams get into the PL and seem to get full houses every week, but when back in the Championship, even if they are challenging at the top, they have plenty of empty seats at times.

You still have to pay out for the build of the stadium. The point is you're not really changing your financial position if you have to pay out near or just as much as what those extra seats bring in.
