Transfer Rumour Kenny Tete

Cracking free, really clever and sensible signing.

Sure its not perfect, so im sure some are raging with fume, as is the way these days.
H'absolutely. I'd go as far as to say I'd rather us go with Tete on a free and save big money for attack than pick up a £20m right back gamble from abroad and have less left in the pot for other players.

We are going to need a few players through the door on a free. With the amount we need to rebuild the squad, unfortunately we might have to take some risks, and a patchy injury record might be one of those risks. On the positive side, the lad is an experienced premier league fullback and defensively fairly solid. Also, Fulham are keen to keep him.

Quite happy with that. Tete had a good season for Fulham a year or two back. Was injured a bit last season and Castagne is a decent enough RB himself.

Strength is getting forward on the overlap and getting crosses in.
His return isn’t that much better than Mykolenko who everyone cries about not being good enough offensively.

Averages 2.8 goal contributions a season in his 5 years at Fulham.

Myko is on 2 a season in his 3.5 years here.

Some people want John Stones back and we’ve got people moaning about Tete missing a handful of games in the past two seasons 🥀
It's more than a handful to be fair, he's basically missed 1 out of every 3 over the last 4 years which is a pretty bad record. Doesn't mean he can't be a good signing or that it wasn't just bad luck or whatever, but it's definitely something worth mentioning.

Branthwaite missed more games than him last season, which nobody seems to be concerned about.

Fair enough. I was using old school counting methods where 14 was more than 8, but now that you've opened my eyes to the new 'just make it up' method I can see that you're absolutely right.

Well your numbers definitely don’t match with the figures used by the holy grail Transfermarkt, so one of you is “making it up” and maybe needs to count again.

Everyone who joins us gets injured. The answer is an overhaul of Finch Farm and the conditioning/medical departments not only buying players who have never been injured.

Wirtz has a bad injury record but no one seriously thinks he’ll miss many games for Liverpool as they have a history of always having their key players available whilst at Everton players who actually remain fit for a full season are the anomaly.
Slot's found a cupboard full of Klopp juice , Wirtz will be fine after a dose or two.

Not just about assists though. It's about ability to retain possession, progressiveness of passing, ability to run with the ball etc. Myko contributes 2 assists but the opposition basically let him have the ball and cross it if he wants which means they are doubling up elsewhere. A better player attracts more attention.

I only counted league games for obvious reasons. Saying that Branthwaite missed more games because he's an international and could potentially have played for England isn't really a fair comparison (or relevant to us) is it?

No, that’s including Branthwaite being out for the entirety of pre season last year, it’s not hypothetical England games that are being included.

The England flag in the link YOU posted is to denote missed England games. Note the lack of Dutch flag in the same link for Tete. Maybe just quit while you're absolutely miles behind for once Mike.
