Transfer Rumour Kyle Walker

If Gana goes for any reason we’re lacking leadership. There’s Pickford and Tarkwoski on the pitch (assuming Coleman doesn’t play much) that’s it really.

Why Walker-Peters? Just because he's free and used to be rated 5+ years ago?

He'll want a long term deal which ia an albatross.
Because hes a decent player, can play left or right, offers more going forward than what we've got and won't be on silly wages...
Also has resale value if it doesn't work out. .

Sure walkers on something like 250k a week isn't he?

Also on a personal level walkers an absolute horror show of a person.

I know we want the best players we can get but at what cost?

You don't have to be 35 to offer leadership though. We've really got to move away from this type of signing, particularly in a position which has been crying out for improvement for 5+ years.

Feels like we are doomed to always have a pensioner at RB. That said, given how much business we need to do, a few older players on frees or smart loans are going to be needed. We will need some experience in the squad as well.

Would prefer us to sign a good to go starting right back in their mid-20s but not against this deal.

He's solid and can cover both flanks. A 3+1 type deal would be fine for him.
Then we are lumbered with a bang average player on a longer contract

On the 4 very underwhelming options mooted, he'd be the one I'd want least

I can begrudgingly live with Walker on a 1 year deal as it allows us the option to address the position long-term next summer. Walker-Peters ties you into mediocrity in the position for the next 3 years

you bi polar mate?

“i feel like we’re doomed…

“that said given how much…

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🙈🙈🙈🙈

my opinion is just no.
I just really dislike this very weird, specific arrogance we seem to have as a club whereby we think we can resurrect any career. We had a bit of luck with Arteta, Pienaar and Howard, and got ahead of ourselves. Gibson, Cleverley, Delph, Dele and I am sure many more I have forgotten would BEG to differ.

KWP is at least a better age, and has had recent experience playing in a side that has to defend a lot. I just can't shake the feeling Walker would be a disaster and an absolute passenger.

he looks a different player now walker
looks frightened when i’ve seen him play

he just retire and stick to banging his ex and his mrs

Still will be quicker than the majority of our current players. Especially those in his position. The 'success' of this potential short term signing absolutely is dependant on how we strengthen elsewhere in my eyes. If this is as good as it gets, not good at all. If we strengthen elsewhere at the standard we're all hoping for, this isn't so bad.
