ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Lol I do admire the dedication and preparedness
Very much so! Incredibly impressive, and great to see an English player go abroad and actually make the effort to speak the local language. Kane has been at Bayern for two years and hasn't so much as mumbled a word in German as far as I can see. I recall Beckham speaking a little Spanish, but definitely not at that level of Trenty even after a few years there. I think maybe Owen Hargreaves in Germany was the last time I was genuinely impressed by an English player speaking a foreign language - although to be fair he had lived in Germany since he was 16 and up until he joined United, so it should be expected.

Tomori speaks a good level of Italian I believe. Seen him do interviews in Italian and stuff. As you say, very impressive!

All the heads falling off over tory trent...

Are they only just realising hes never been one of them?

They ignored the double barrel name for a start, then they ignored the private school upbringing (you know the one where he probably learned Spanish...)

He did a good job convincing them that he was also just a poor Liverpool lad who achieved the dream of making it as a professional footballer

And then he did what every blue wanted, shafted them brilliantly and made their heads fall off by actually having ambition and not drinking the koolaid about der redz being da biggest club in der world, 6 times lad etc etc

Lineker speaks Spanish well.

Solanke was poo at the time (not much better now tbh), sold for £20 million after bought for £3m tribunal amount.

Jordan Ibe, 29, and currently at Southern League Premier Division South team Hungerford Town, bought for free as a 16-year old and sold for £15 million.

Striker Rihan Brewster, 25, currently plays for Sheffield United and delivered a whopping 4 goals in 36 appearances last season, was sold by Liverpool for £23.5 million.

Just shy of £60 brought in million for that trio - an amount that bought them Salah and Mane.

I guess Everton could try that model, as none of them really cost anything and on the basis of a handful of Premier League appearances sold for mega millions, whereas we went down the buy high, release for free route, which clearly wasn't very good.
We cant get that model to work, we don't have the undercover agents working as pundits that help out by convincing the likes of Sheffield that Liverpool are doing them a favour by selling them the next Pele for only £23.5 million.

Net spend FC making a mistake with Wirtz I think.
He's more of an attacking midfielder and I thought it was obvious Big van Disney has seen better days. I thought they would have gone big on a holding midfielder to cover their defence.
But I'm no manager so we shall see.
I think they will concede a lot of goals next season.
He's also had an ACL injury which would put me off paying so much.
