Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Yeah think was always going be a similar profile barry/delap ect not a finished striker with potential. But has stepped up with each move, is a risk but does seem to have traits that match the league.
Not sold on this Barry

And if we are looking for back up there if O'Brien is the starter then KWP covers both sides and is easily as good as Coufal
Would say better imo also does not mean we still cant look for another rb to come in next season

I guess it depends how you look at things. I gave Moshiri the benefit of the doubt and, stadium aside, that was an unmitigated disaster. Loads of people on here defended Kenwright to the hilt and he was a self-serving, self-agrandising bell that ran us into the ground. So my default suspicion now is to be suspicious, not hostile, of the bosses and owners of this club until they do something to assuage those fears. As of yet TFG haven't really done anything on the playing side, so there is no evidence to work with on either side of this argument. I'm hopeful that we'll see the new dawn that many are touting, but at this stage that's all it is, hope. We'll know a lot more about where we are in about a months time.

But the previous ownership has assured that they've not been able to do anything yet. They had a net spend of about 95 million at Roma last season, I don't think there's any evidence to suggest they won't allow money to be spent, how much and when though is still very much determined by the 'PSR accounts' left behind by Mosh and his cronies.

In their five years at Roma they have had two high spending years, one year of moderate expenditure and two seasons where they recouped large amounts through transfers.

I'm not saying that they won't spend money here, in just saying that we don't know if they will. We have no real idea of what their long term plans are for the club as they haven't really communicated anything other than platitudes.

You're optimistic, I get that, I'm not criticising you or anyone else for that. Others are more reticent, which in my opinion is also reasonable. All I'm saying is that people who are less optimistic shouldn't be harangued and called names when there is currently no evidence to contradict their positions.

Signings will be the focus at The Valley, but it seems prospect Reuben Gokah is heading out the exit door.

Writing on his Patreon, reporter Alan Nixon has said that Premier League side Everton have swooped for the Charlton Athletic talent.

Aged only 16, the Toffees view centre-back Gokah as a big talent for the future and have moved to secure his services early. A deal has been sorted and he seems poised to make the move to Bramley Moore Dock.

It is not said what sort of fee CAFC will be getting from the sale if they are to land one, but it will be expected that a sum is involved as they bid farewell to one of their brighter youth prodigies.

I struggle to think where Grealish would fit in?

Obviously I know that not my job but I do wonder what his roll would be.

It's a weird link. We have both N'Diaye and McNeil who play in that position whereas on the opposite flank we have literally nobody.

Yes we've got Ndiaye, McNeil and Alcaraz but we need 2 more players in.

If one is a RW player (McAtee) and another is Grealish then the level of competition increases, the level of performance should increase and the level of improvement should increase.
