Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The only reason we should ever consider signing Danny Ward is as thanks for his uselessness being a primary factor in keeping us up at Leicester’s expense.

Thankfully, I believe he is off to Wrexham.
Is going to Wrexham some kind of euphemism that I'm totally missing?

Are we at the "setting arbitrary deadlines with massively inflated sense of importance attached to them" stage of the window already?! Time flies...
Any big business will have timeline with milestones....Everton doesn't seem to operate that way. The only deadline seems to be deadline day on September 1st. It will be too late to moan on September 2nd...there is still a lack of accountability at the club, even more so now that thelwell has gone.

Not being personal here about Bill or anyone else, but our MO at that time was premier league experience and that came from the top. Thelwell had a mixed success rate, don't think anyone would argue with that, but he was working under strict financial circumstances, everyone knew that we were in deep trouble with psr, before he arrived here and that the wage bill and savings had to be made.

I agree on the PL experience but demanding the players we bring in adhere to certain parameters is a hell of alot different then going above the DoF head and bringing in a player like maupay.

I just genuinely dont think that happened.

It's been an open secret that Kenwright and/or Moshiri went against Thelwell and signed Maupay for premier league experience.

Thelwell if i remember correctly wanted https://www.transfermarkt.com/serhou-guirassy/profil/spieler/270541#google_vignette

This literally has been posted about 1000s of times...feel free to search the forum.

You keep saying its been posted 1000s of times but ive been on this forum for years and never seen any proof this was the case.

So unless you want to show me proof that happened then thelwell signed maupay, end of.
