2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I would imagine there are a fair few teams looking at Dom on a ‘free’.
As an option he would be very attractive & cheap to any of Man U, Spurs, Villa, Arsenal or Newcastle.
Doesn’t have to be available for every game (and not every game is played like a cup final), offers something different to passing through the lines. He will have plenty of options imo, all of whom will see £23m over a 3 year contract as relatively risk free.
£150k / w to save you the maths.
£150k a week and no goals...

His goal scoring is the problem and it's why clubs haven't been trying to sign him

Can see a promoted side take a gamble on him.

Stats are woeful so can’t see a decent side wanted to pay his injury bills.
He missed 10 games this season and only 2 the previous season. Other than the broken toes he had a few years ago he's been more or less available for the entirety of seasons, save from a game here or there which is normal due to fatigue etc.

I get criticising his goalscoring/finishing but the injury thing is just weird at this point.

Well even if he couldn't slot the bread in the toaster he almost slotted himself into Everton's all time top goal scorers list. Pretty good for a striker who can't score goals
Did he really though? He missed that by quite a margin too.

He has 57 senior Everton goals, and the tenth of the list (thanks Wikipedia - though I would be happy to see an easy to find list of all Everton's goal scorers) is Alf Milward who got 98.

And that's back in the days when bread was thick cut and the toaster slots were tighter too.

Seriously though, I don't actually mind DCL and quite like him and think he does add an extra dimension up front when he plays. But unfortunately he doesn't score enough and if there is a better value option identified or a player that can add more the team identified to replace him, then good luck to him in his next club and get the new guy in.

Defenders were fatter than the bread and as slow as the old toasters too though

Has literally just missed 3 months with a hamstring injury tbf, it will certainly be mentioned in any contract talks with any club.
