Transfer Rumour Ben Doak

Is he any good? That would be my only concern regarding how much we pay for him. If the general consensus is that we'd pay £30 milion to Spurs for him, but not to the RS then that's a bit silly. If the manager likes him that's good enough for me; he'll be judged in due course.

Like this lad a lot, he has a broad skill set, pace, skill ability to score.

What makes a bit more special then the usual RS puppy farm chaff is his vision and decision making - very impressed with both - excellent innate reader of the game.
Under normal circumstances I'd be massively against giving Liverpool big money for their fringe players - far too often you see teams throw money at Liverpool bit-part players in the hope that they'll benefit from Liverpool's (admittedly very good) recruitment

However, this lad is one they've been excited about over there for a while and in all the bits I've seen of him I think it's easy to understand why. Very two footed, quick and can beat a man - equally happy coming inside and driving at goal on his left or going outside his man on his right foot, looking to cross. Shows up really well on all the geek stats you see.

£30m IS top heavy for a lad with so little 1st team football to his name, but if he's pushing to leave and wants to play 1st team football then I suspect we'd end up regretting it if he left and didn't come here.

Heard he had a great season with Middlesbrough. Get him in for a good price and it could be decent business. Doesn't bother me where he came from, as long as we are improving and buying for the future

….ffs, his own thread , will never happen now.
