I always think of going to London as going down. I detest the place, its like hell in my eyes, so heading to the m25 is always going down. I don't buy the pro london propaganda. I'll add that geographically, where I start from at the upper Thames is at a higher altitude than London, so a second reason to go "down" to London is correct. If you were on the M4 headed for the M25 you were going UP the M4. Plus what is more dangerous; feeling tetchy at a lane hog or undertaking? Agree re big cars and parking .
Disagree, taxi and buses and delivery drivers are using them as part of their jobs, which they rely on. I can’t remember a bad taxi driver or bus, not sure I can say the same about supermarket delivery drivers though.Genuinely think all the delivery drivers, food and Amazon type thing, will be the end of our relatively high standards. Stop where you want, get out on a main road, no indication, hammer round in first, anything goes. It’s like bad parenting … it becomes the norm
This could get interesting.I can’t remember a bad taxi driver
So, stopping in the middle of the road, getting out leaving your engine on and door open while you look for number 15 is cool - Sod everyone else? HmmmmmDisagree, taxi and buses and delivery drivers are using them as part of their jobs, which they rely on. I can’t remember a bad taxi driver or bus, not sure I can say the same about supermarket delivery drivers though.

I see your point but I just never got round to mentioning it. I'd done enough research to know I was putting on the right size wheels. In fact, because I was no longer subject to the sudden shock of pothole shake I was actually driving safer.Sounds like borderline insurance fraud, mate...
But not.
Anyway, whether it's a motorbike, or a bicycle rider, just remember:

I'd already thought about it but would rather just move on.Since COVID, I have activity looked for jobs where I can work remotely from home...
I can't do with the toxicity and road rage during rush hour traffic any more.
You get home after work, and you're spent after getting so worked up on the roads.
Here's a suggestion, if you really want to turn this whole unpleasant experience into a positive win for yourself.
Enquiry with the insurance company if you can purchase your old damaged, written-off Fiesta back, and at what selling price.
You can probably haggle them down to a really low price, on account that it's damaged, and that they're probably looking to scrap it ASAP.
But not before getting a quote from a reliable, but cheap panel beater, to fix the damages and the get the car up to a roadworthy standard.
And then sell it at a fair, but relatable, market value for what a second hand 2010 Fiesta Titanium would go for.
Less the costs, you should come out smelling of roses with a decent sized profit.
I know a mate who did something similar to this. It took a bit of effort, but he came out on top, and with his earnings, he went on a three-week party holiday to Ibiza!
Just a thought, mate.
Lol, I was being facetious, mate.I see your point but I just never got round to mentioning it. I'd done enough research to know I was putting on the right size wheels. In fact, because I was no longer subject to the sudden shock of pothole shake I was actually driving safer.
I've probably had sleep apnoea for years and not realised it. I probably gave the wrong impression really, Lack of deep sleep makes me snappy and argumentative but not sleepy. As far as I'm aware it's never affected my driving. Mrs TT has her own car and is also an added driver on my policy. On rare occasions she has taken over the driving on long journeys but has never felt unsafe when I drive. In fact it's me who occasionally tells her she's not leaving a big enough gap between herself and the vehicle in front.I hate to be all serious about anything, so please bear with me. The above reads like an admission of guilt re death by dangerous driving. I realise you didn't kill the biker this time. Does the boss not drive? If your focus isn't there, can she not take the wheel?
What has brought sleep apnoea on? My drift towards problematic sleeping is the sheer vastness of weight I've piled on again. With my BMI now over 32 I'm gonna try with the doctor to get to see a weight specialist and see if I can get on the mounjaro gravy train.
No offence taken, TC, and your secret is safe with me, mateLol, I was being facetious, mate.
Even at a stretch, I wouldn't call that anything close to insurance fraud.
If you want to play with the big boys, instead of writing-off the car off, you opt for damage repairs.
Then you ask the panel beater that you're going to use to work the excess into the quote that you're submitting, so there's nothing extra to pay.
Shhh... But you didn't hear that from me,
Women drivers are fantastic.*waits

Ironic really, as I live in Wiltshire and feel the same about it as you do about London.I always think of going to London as going down. I hate undertaking and, it really was a move of last resort after being stuck at an unreasonable speed, for 5 minutes, 2 lanes away on the inside.
Since COVID, I have activity looked for jobs where I can work remotely from home...
