Things you have completely wasted money on

It just doesn`t feel like reading to me, it`s very hard to explain.

Conversely, my eldest lad has never read a book in his life, as he`s never had to, as his whole schooling has been electronic.

Just an age thing I suppose.

What will people do with bookcases in future? Nothing beats physical copies, in a digital world you own nothing.

Trouble is the old paperbacks - Penguin, Corgi, Pan etc - were easier to manipulate. Soft covers, soft leaves of paper, and light to hold reading in a chair or in bed. Modern paperbacks tend to be bigger, the spines are less flexible and the pages are shiny so harder to manipulate in general.

Rule number one, never buy a pop up tent, always buy one with proper poles.

There`s no such thing as a pop up tent that`s easy to put away and are generally rubbish quality.
I'm thinking about getting one of theses, there's few poles... I like the idea of camping and being out in nature but the fuss caused by erecting and dismantling tents put's me off..

Even with the inflatable tents, there`s still faffing about putting them up, as you still need to put the poles in before you inflate them and still need to tie the same guy ropes down as a regular tent.

There`s lots and lots of info on the best tents, dependant on how many people it`s for and what purpose : ie backpacking, leisure etc and what seasons you intend to use it.

I`ve only ever used 2/3 man tents, so poles are always fine, as the tent tends to be that small, it`s easy to put up due to size.

Having bought a 4 birth inflatable tent, I'd recommend poles.

Quicker to assemble, take down. More compact.

Course, could be my amateurism but if I ever get another, it's poles. Or a B&B 😬
