If you look at him, he's sort of a poor man's Gyokeres in so much as he's a focal point but he carries the ball a lot - stylistically I think United or Everton would have been a good fit, but as much as Chelsea are clearly the best of the clubs who wanted him, I'm really not sure they way they play is going to suit him. I stand to be proven wrong, but good luck to the lad, he's made the bold choice as far as getting into the team goes. Must back himself if he has eyes on the world cup next year.

On the one hand, fair play to the lad. Big contract, lots of opportunities for sponsorship cash too, might get some minutes in the CL, on show to get in the England squad, anyone with ambition would want to play for the biggest teams who have a chance of silverware.
On the other hand, he'll get one chance to be brilliant and, if he fails, he'll be on that miserable treadmill of season-long loans at lesser clubs until his contract runs out and he's a pub quiz question.

Would have been a decent statement signing but hopefully can spend the money elsewhere. In particular a right winger who can contribute pace, assists and goals.

Without a doubt , only caveat is Moyes has to cease his preoccupation with strikers/players that have premier league experience it's not as dogmatic as Dyche but he needs to be willing to take further risks now we're in a better position as a squad and the spectre of relegation doesn't seem to be looking as it was in the past couple of seasons. Just need look at all options regardless of the league
