2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

The small concern I have is the tactics being used. I'm fine with Everton not playing Charlie the amount of game time that would have triggered the purchase if that purchase had to be made before the psr date. It does mess around with Flamengo though & I get the feeling they are not the easiest to deal with although it's probably us being just as annoying to work with too.
Whilst the price to pay was seemingly fine the deal did get held up & a deal sheet had to be issued after the window closed when we all thought it was pretty much done 3 days prior. Then there were reports of them being unhappy at Everton not playing Charlie too.
We all see it as "Just pay the money" but I get the feeling there is more to this deal than is being let on.
Deal by a certain date? Future performance payments? Some reports have it at €18m with those added extras. Sell on fee?
I'm sure we get our man but I wouldn't be surprised to see this one dragging on.

Deadline day we will complete the signing as our only add of the summer :)

So all the handwringing here about him not being permanent yet...

Probably was just because it doesnt kick in until 05/31. Contracts are more complicate than just "team pays player". You have to figure out release clauses, bonuses, and a myriad of other things beyond just weekly wage.
