Sadly for a lot of these guys it's as simple as what's the contract offer here, vs what's the contract offer there. Chelsea and United can afford to just splash salary at anyone.
It takes a player with long term vision to take less with the hopes it'll benefit his career later. That's how all these guys end up and Chelsea in the first place

I personally don’t feel that signing Delap will impress Man U supporters, shareholders or sponsors.
Not sure it makes the right noises for Chelsea or Newcastle either when you look at the forwards they already have and what they will be looking to achieve in Europe.
I think he’s a better fit for where Everton are at the minute and that’s normally how things play out.

He's not even had a medical yet.
Whether we get Delap or not I LOVE that Moyes does this, he’s such a classy man when it comes to transfers, representing the club and bringing in players who are the right fit personality wise as well as technically

Sancho probs not due to the buy clause, but there's still the English player tax with Rashford. Mourinho was right with him though, he hasn't cracked on at all since he was a teenager, but reckon some suckers will chuck a load of money at him.
Antony, as much as he's a bit of a meme, he's been decent enough at Betis. They wont recoup anywhere near the ludicrous amount they paid for him (£95 million or thereabouts wasn't it?) but could see someone chucking half that at him given his performances in La Liga and the fact he's still only 25 and back in the Brazil national team (Along with Casimero for some reason)
Garnacho will be on a few clubs shortlists - I like him myself, reckon he could develop into a fantastic player if he actually got an extended run of games somewhere.
