There are definitely other ways to look at it, David...The only way to look at this is as follows:
Either Dyche or Moyes would have saved us from relegation this season. No question about that.
The upside to doing it with Dyche in charge would have been that we'd have made a clean break today with Dyche and be in the process of getting in the quality manager we need. Instead, we're now stuck with the ambitionless, expectation-managing Moyes for years.
Carlo is another one...you literally can't buy experience. This is exactly the reason I think all these people who are obsessed with “young coaches” with “new ideas” are fools. The longer a talented person does something the better they get at it.
Moyes has never stopped learning and should actually have a massive bank of knowledge that works in his favour rather than working against him.
Bobby Robson was the same. He was open to new ideas and experiences and was a brilliant coach. Same with Ferguson.
"stick to your guns..."There are definitely other ways to look at it, Dave...
Maybe instead of stats, a visual aid such as a graph would help?
Beginning of December, just before Sean got the bullet.
Who's in the bottom left corner with the lowest possession, and lowest pressing intensity, literally the most rubbish club in the whole PL?
Ummmmmmm... I wonder, wonder, wonder who it could be?!

Nobody is impressed by someone tied to an opinion based on circumstances that have changed.Myself and others are simply sticking to our guns from first time around: that he's a limited manager who believes he's more beneficial to us than we are to him. That's arse about face and always has been.
We're a historically significant football club and he's, practically, a no mark manager.
Others may have liked him then called him Judas and now revere him again. They're the goal post shifters.
'A great job! I'll toast to that! Hear! Hear!'Moyes is doing a great job.
Only a deliberate contrarian would....ahhh ok

I’ve had a smile on my face since January, and since the Fulham and Newcastle game l have bloody big grin.Well that's certainly one way to look at it, certainly not the only way, but you know this.

Thanks to David Moyes it’s been possible once again to watch Everton again without feeling depressed,
I for one are looking forward to 25/26 season with Moyes in charge, and as for dragging up old scores some people would like to settle. Best of luck.
GO MOYES.
I’m sure there is one on the PL website somewhere… Be arsed to find, though. Is there a post-Dyche graph?
It's obvious - and I've said on here - that Moyes has done a good job. It's whether that continues or whether in a new season with more expectations on him he decides to manage those expectations. One very big question about that
We had regressed under Dyche and he had lost the dressing room
Moyes is doing a great job.
Only a deliberate contrarian would....ahhh ok
btw he managed expectations when we had no money to spend and was having his own expectations managed by Kenwright
All he has talked about since coming in is looking up the table
It’s good to see him getting some away wins. Brighton, Palace, Fulham, Forest, Newcastle. There were some full seasons under him previously we wouldn’t get five away wins. We do seem to be setting up a bit more to play counter attack away from home. Perhaps his time at West Ham playing that way has rubbed off on him.
Last time he as here he was more conservative because he was always trying to prove to SAF/United that he was a manager who wouldn't have his teams routed. It happened once or twice but Moyes kept us defensively solid, but also underlined he could build a team that could attack.
He has no such considerations/ambitions this time around, so I can see a lot more adventurism in our play. That's a strong possibility, I suppose.
Needs to do that more consistently though. And it's ok doing that - as he has so far - when clear of danger with no Euro place available than it is with bigger expectations at the start of a new season.
